I fished the 27th after work. Fought the wind for 8-9 fish before leaving around 3. A rig, jig and hover was catching them, bigs only following the glides and bottom swimbaits on scope. I’ll be back this week again to chase them again. Thanks for the report.

I feel the same way about ffs.. my dad got it and he uses it here and there but I just chill on the back look at the sonar and side scan for structure and just fish..we don’t fish tournaments

Good evening Bob! Thank you for keeping up with your reports. It means a lot. I’m not sure why anyone wouldn’t watch the whole report but C’est la vie. Anyway, I ordered the lowrance eagle eye 9. It has a simplistic approach to FFS. Hopefully if all goes well I will have it installed by Saturday and be testing it on Clearlake on Sunday. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Bob, I’ll tell you for me the FFS has been eye opening. Not for catching fish, but more to see where my bait is in the water column. I used to think I was fishing slow. Then I got FFS & my lure is nowhere near the fish, LOL! And man it takes a lot longer for baits to get down to the bottom than I thought also. I’m not good enough to rely on it to catch fish. The FFS def does not guarantee fish catches for me. Pisses me off if I watch the fish too much 😂. Good stuff bud as always thanks for taking the time to give a report… 👍🏻

Hey Bob, thanks for the report. I will be there all next week…no scoping just hoping, lol. How is the debris? I stay in Lakeport, so I have to make the run on water or drive to Redbud.

The debris is always a concern with the rapid rising water levels. I've personally seen several big one's last couple day's. Just be careful and Good luck.

Get that FFS on the boat. You can still fish the way you like, you will just be doing it on more productive spots and areas.
