Sir, you have aroused the curiosity to read the entire novel. In this video, the description of the technique "Stream of Consciousness" is lucid with the essential details of its predecessors and successors. Clear Light of Day (1980) is Anita Desai's (a three-time Booker Prize finalist) most autobiographical work, as it's set in the same neighbourhood where she grew up. I am sure that reading it will benefit the reader/aspirant in myriad ways. Thank you, sir, for recording such an insightful lecture.
