Cool video. Wonder how they know if embankment is too steep to move cars, the angles , counterweights ect. It’s a lot of details that go into cleanup. I respect these guys and the hard work they do! Thanks for sharing

Is the cost of maintaining a decent roadbed greater than the cost of the occasional derailment cleanup? Given the slow speed of the train and the rocking of the cars, the track is in pretty sorry shape. If nothing is done to bring the trackbed up to snuff, another derailment is inevitable.

Both RJ Corman and Hulcher have more Work than they could ever handle. That’s Why it takes Months to completely restore derailment sites.

🤣🤣🤣 that's not even remotely true. They have so little work, they overcharge for their services now just to stay in business. Train accident rates are incredibly low compared to 30 years ago. Also it doesn't take months to restore a derailment site. Where do you people come up with this stuff?

Seen new Volvo tractors at another derailment They were repoed from a company shut down after keystone piprline shut down Volvo offered kits to convert them in rerail tractors or light duty excavators Tony Beets has 2 with the excavator kit installed

Scabs that get paid 1/2 as much as railworkers and cost 5 times what it would cost if they did it in house.
