No worries Jon. You've got two workers growing up right in front of you. From the time I was able to walk good I was with my dad on every job site he was on. He was a framer, plumber, electrtian, hvac installer, painter, and finish carpenter. He built custom cabinets for kitchens and bathrooms as well. He taught me every single one of those trades. I worked with him just about my whole life. I eventually took over the company. He passed away a year and a month ago. I miss that man more than words can communicate. Working with him all those years taught me more than those skills. He taught me what it means to be an honest, trustworthy man.😊

Hey Jon, you taught the boys well, and I'm sure they respect and enjoyed working with you as well. You showed them the ropes from your end and now it's time to move on as we all do. But I'm also sure that if needed, they would be there in a heartbeat for you, and who knows, they may still show from time to time as guest appearances... Nothing stays the same, and frankly it would be pretty boring if it did! You've got this and always have, and besides you've also have us your cheering squad that will always be here for you!! You The Man Jon!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 👍🏻😀

John Sorry to here about your guys moving on. I've been in your shoes!! I remember when everyone left and I was the last one on the job with a tool bag. I think that God was trying to get my attention!! I worked until was exhausted everyday. So dang depressed I was sick. But I got through it with Gods help. Then when covid hit and everybody's wages jumped $3-5 buck I was asleep at the wheel and lost 2 nephews to greener pastures. That really hurt!! I love those boys like sons!! But like you, I want the very best for them!! Hang in there Ask God continually for His help and guidance, pay your tithes faithfully and you'll see the greatest times in your companies history!!! Guaranteed!!!

I’ve been doing land clearing, grading, and mulching by myself for the last five years. Just gotta use machinery and pick the jobs that are in your wheel house. You might have to do away with the rentention pond jobs as they can be the most labor intensive. Just be careful and don’t take undue risk because if you get hurt it’s all on the line with no one to fall back on. Best of luck!

The TB290 is actually a great machine, I'd probably take it over the Yanmar or other machines in its class. This one is just wore out so don't judge it to harshly because of that. I don't even think that bucket is meant for that machine. It looks like it came off oa DEERE and probably doesn't fit just right. Generally these are very fast and powerful pieces of kit.

Jon, I have to be honest. I miss the guys. They were fun and really hard workers. So I was absolutely shocked when they left. But there has been something of a downward spiral. First you lose the Deere 130. Then Micah leaves. Then you sell the ASV 135. Then Josh and Willie leave. From the dots I can connect, it all seems to be related to money. When employees leave like Josh and Willie did, it’s usually related to money. I could well be wrong, but this is what I’m seeing. Anyway, having been there in my youth, I know what you’re going through and I’m in your corner. By the way, to say that the the excavator you rented was a piece of junk is an understatement, but it is from a rental company, and those poor machines are beaten into the ground. Those shims made more noise than your Bobcat, if that’s possible. Anyway, congratulations, you’re now Chris Guins. Just keep up the good work. I’m in your corner. And just trust in God.

Hi Jon. I know you will be able to do this on your own. You are a very determined man, and the quality of your work will not suffer. I'm just a little bit angry that both of those boys left you at the same time. You brought both of them into your business at very young ages, taught them everything you know, and trusted them to work alone when you had to leave for other business. It's hard finding good help, but you did have it with them, and they just walk away? My gosh. I thought they were much more mature than that. I'm so sorry.
