John,it’s looking 👀 amazingly beautiful with all the clearing that you have done ✅ on the back forty yard 😮😊❤

Thank you! This is actually the front forty. The back forty has more mature trees but the access is little more difficult to get back there. Thanks for watching! Keep on tractoring!

Great to see ya again Jon . Property is looking great. Not a fan of Temeraks either👍

I probably cut down about a hundred of them during this trip. I found the pole saw actually was a lot more efficient as you'll see in the next video. Keep on tractoring!

Larch trees aren’t all bad. David Hampton, of Hampton Lumber, planted a smiley face with them near Willamina Oregon. My dad worked for his dad for around 30 years. I would send a link but I’m not on Facebook. It’s easy to find pictures on line.

There is an app for plant identification. My wife uses it all the time for trees, vegetation, and even fungus.

It takes so long for tamarack trees the get to a harvest size but if u ever come upon a large one and u know someone who has a saw mill they make beautiful lumber.
@ritterjon4 ай бұрын
We had a few nice big ones but larch beetles killed them all. I think it’s too late to harvest them for lumber now. Keep on tractoring!

Great to see you back. What chainsaw do you have? I have a 30 yr old CS-370 that still starts on the second pull and runs great. and just bought a CS-4920
@ritterjon4 ай бұрын
I’ve got a CS-590 that I ported and it’s really given it some more high end speed. It pulls a 24 inch bar pretty well. I really like all the Echo tools I have. Thanks for watching! Keep on tractoring!

What Kubota tractor do you have? Where in MN are you located?

I live in the St Cloud area. Our land is near Grand Rapids. My tractor is a BS23S and it’s been a great machine. Keep on tractoring!

Stop justifying yourself. It's your land and you're maintaining it to your preferences. "I'm cutting all of these trees down because I don't like them" is all you need to say. And you're right, those look like gigantic weeds judging from the number and density of them. I'm sure you'll have to come back and cut down just as many in 3 years.
@brianhillis37014 ай бұрын
Haven't seen you for awhile. Do the roots decay quickly in your area? In my area (West Central NC) roots at the base rot in 1 to two years. Just cut then 18" tall, then wait a year or two and they break off easily at ground level.😊

Trying to get more content out now. Decay rate depends on how big the tree is. These small one I could have just ripped out with the bucket but I think it was easier this way to not damage the smaller nearby trees. Thanks for watching! Keep on tractoring!
