Hey, i am a large scale farmer and i do plant trees to help farm more sustainably but these peat farms are a minimal subtraction from actual beneficial forest plus these areas have proved helpful in limiting forest fire growth and areas of flamable mulch.

Hi Braden, Let`s say it depends on what sort of soil you are going to work with. This unit in video is ment`t for peat based soil. Not for mineral soil. There quite many units working on bogs of Canada. If you are looking crushers to work on mineral soil. Please visit www.mericrusher.com

Thats a swamp. Finland is full of swamps. Trees doesnt grow There, and when all peat is mined, the trees start to grow better. Or they just make it field.

@@ISMDOBLE there are lots of forest over here so it is ok, and the amount of peat thats lifted is smaller than the amount that grows back every year, so it isnt any worse than cutting forests and replanting them.

Murders how you can kill those beautiful trees
@applemarkwantsvids
@applemarkwantsvids 5 жыл бұрын
They ar clearing and fertilizing the land all in one action. USED to be that all that wood would be BURNED, releasing CO2 into the atmosphere. As the land is being cleared, the trees return to the soil as NUTRIENTS. This is called soil Amendment.
@k.i.8768
@k.i.8768 5 жыл бұрын
applemarkwantsvids thank you for explanation but i m am sure they can transfer those at least ten years old trees 🌲 to another places and they will go on given oxygen to this sick planet and again they can fertilizing with the animal fertilizer .
@applemarkwantsvids
@applemarkwantsvids 5 жыл бұрын
@@k.i.8768 And that's JUST how you get topsoil erosion (Oklahoma dust bowl, anyone?). By converting the trees into much, you ass nutrients, and the weight of hard and fibrous cellulose. This prevent soil erosion, while fertilizing NATURALLY. No PLEASE make sure you have both barrels of the shotgun in front of your head, before pulling that trigger. Thank you for calling....

A. R. I am sure the animals they are chopping up with all that overgrowth makes for great animal fertilizer.

Peat bogs contain 10 times more co2 than any other ecosystem per any given area. When the peat is exposed, it can release up to 100tons of carbon dioxide per ha per year and is a major factor in the buildup of greenhouse gases.

its the academic class who have there brains washed that have the biggest carbon foot print . Harvesting peat and growing food for the city people who longer can feed them self's. The plants that grow in the peat take in co2 and cleans the air
