Strange how you couldn't block off that door. If I had to guess then its probably because of the exit sign above it. It should be flat enough to allow you to place stuff there but Zomboid is just sometimes strange like that.

@@JCutty7 I think it may not allow the shelves to be placed due to the wooden frames occupying the square you're trying to place the shelves on. Try placing the frames to be placed on the squares outside the mall but rotate the frames to still be on the door. Then try to place the shelves onto the inside squares to the door.

Now you probably knew this already but if you put a fence then a box and then a fence again it will hold them out forever. Still loving the videos by the way!

Also as far as water goes just make a rain catcher and use that don't use your water supply. if and if you need to you can use the water in the rain catcher you just need to boil it.

​​@@JCutty7 you can use the stairs leading up to the helipad and can use that to get on the roof of your base. You can plumb a sink to any rain collectors you build up there so you wouldn't need to boil water.

@@JCutty7 Their is also a trick to also allow the rain catcher to supply water to a shower. Just make put the rain catcher one floor above the shower then use plumbing to connect the rain catcher to the shower.

Oh want to ask did you use a mod that gives Zombies trouble seeing in the dark as well their is a mod that actually does that. And helps you use the shadows and darkness to help conceal you as your sneaking.

The game takes place in the 90's, so i think solar power wouldn't be a thing (unless you install a mod)
