I like that as you descend deeper into the house the floors get more and more creepy. There is no dialogue or cutscenes. Just traversing the level tells you all you need to know. @Thamb02 жыл бұрын
One thing I really hope they work on in the future is making the AI doing more believable things. So for instance, when you go into a room and the AI is unaware that you are there, maybe you caught them on the computer, grabbing food out of the fridge, or sleeping in bed, etc. Then if the AI knows you are in the vicinity, it would be nice if they acted accordingly, like the private guards might actually try to barricade or counter assault your team, the inexperienced shooters might try and hide or shoot around corners without looking. Maybe the civvies will be on their phones trying to call for help, or screaming on the ground, the list goes on. It's asking a lot, but the dev team seems like they're doing a phenomenal job and having more realistic AI encounters seems like the next step to make this game stand out far beyond a lot of shooters. Oh, BTW great vid Karma!
@GremlinHunter2 жыл бұрын
Thats what the next "big update" does from what the devs said. It's to add more "storytelling" to the maps via AI interactions with the map. Enemy AI will hide, perform random tasks, and will "play dead" in some instances. Also suicide is a feature if the morale of a criminal is stupidly low and they even said themselves "yelling for compliance" could startle them.

@GremlinHunter2 жыл бұрын
@@dadeee7776 Honestly I'd like to see maps where CCTV plays a factor and the bad guy will construct makeshift barricades to block doors and will "lay ambushes" and use grenades. Put rugs under the doors so snake cams can't see under. Cell phone bombs so you can't just "bypass" it like a regular tripwire. I mean there's a lot of shit they could add to make the AI scary effective if they are ex-military like the hotel mission. I'd also like to see timed "executions" of hostages with a "negotiator" type mission where most of the "unneeeded" civvies are dead and all the civvies still alive are crammed into one room and for every 10 minutes they shoot one unless "demands are met" (they totally wont because we don't negotiate with terrorists lol) Then one feature from SWAT 4 that needs to make a comeback is the sniper teams in adjacent buildings. Though it would be cool for the player characters to elect that role before a mission. It would add another layer of realism and tactical playstyle (and the terrorists if they are stupidly advanced should have snipers too). Lastly I think there should be "escape plans" for the terrorists so if they find out your coming and you drop the ball they can bail out and flee to like a van or "getaway vic" parked outside the map. So it incentivizes you to cover the entrances or use door blockers.
@damiandimessor2 жыл бұрын
Very well could be on the way. I know one thing that civvies do when they are in the presence of gunfire is they'll try and point to where the suspect is for the player to neutralize. Small details like that make this game so much more interesting. Love those ideas.

Hey man! Current police officer here. I’m impressed with your tactics and room clearing. At my department, we’re trained in room clearing scenarios for possible incidents where we have to clear a building. In my city, it’s far too common to clear. We have a Special Response Team (SRT) who specializes in room clearing, active shooters, hostage situations, etc. Regardless, every one of our officers are trained in room and building clearing. Good job to you and your buddies. Communication and keeping your cool is absolute key in clearing a building when there may possibly be an armed subject(s) inside. You’re no good to anyone if you’re panicking or all over the place. As soon as you hear shots you better start moving, reacting, and neutralize the threat. Levels like this are unfortunately reality. @@dude9318Thing about the news is that you don’t really visualize what the individuals and LEOs involve experience. Yes, it tells you the facts and statistics of a particular event (example: “Five restaurant employees killed in robbery attempt: police arrested 2 suspects”. ) Although people with enough analytical capabilities could imagine what happened and how it went down, you can’t really visualize the actual fear, stress and adrenaline; Ready or Not does exactly that. In ready or not, you step into the body of a SWAT team leader who is faced with not only executing the mission, but also leading/directing and planning the mission. You select the people you want for the mission (as you can select officers with certain skills) and assign their gear to them, which you have to choose wisely for each individual mission. You have to make sure you keep the morale up and finish the mission successfully and with minimal casualties, as this can inflict the overall happiness and combat effectiveness of your officers. It’s not like any fast-paced shooter game; everything is slow. You don’t sprint, because realistically a SWAT officer wouldn’t just “jump into the room and spray and pray” like in Call of Duty. It also makes it more intense, as this makes it harder to pull away from being engaged in a firefight once you entered it. You have to clear rooms carefully, make split second decisions on whether someone is considered a dangerous, non-compliant suspect -if they even are a suspect, and not a victim (for example:) put in a suspect’s outfit. Whenever you are shot at from a distance, your screen will fade a little from the adrenaline and your gun will start to shake while shooting back. If you are shot, you can’t regenerate health. You have to go to cover to stop your bleeding. Even then, the wound is permanent. Each shot you fire is impactful. The recoil, the loud echoing shot, the impact on a suspect as he screams in agony from being shot, it all makes the player realize that he is using a dangerous weapon in the game. Next to that, you have to carefully count your ammo and try to maximize the use on one magazine, as you have an amount per magazine. The details in the game are over the top, as they want you to really see and feel what a SWAT officer would likely feel. The disturbing image of victims killed by the suspects. You can even listen to the 911 calls from victims during briefings before the missions starts. Although the game of course does not make you an actual SWAT officer, as that requires a lot of physical and mental training, it sure gives you the realistic perspective of being one.

Man, the Club level FUCKED me up. First thing you see when you start the level is piles of dead bodies and bullet casings EVERYWHERE. It's a wild fucking ride. Then you gotta deal with civilians strapped with bomb vests. I accidently shot one and the victim just disintegrated. And you know what? I hope they never stray from their design philosophy. I think it's important that people who play this game should get a tiny taste of what men and women in law enforcement (real LEOs, not the cowards at Uvalde or the ones who kills innocents) all over the world have to deal with when they respond to situations like this. It sheds light on the terror felt by the victims and responders alike.

I cant tell which of the perps have bomb vests most of the time, but for the most part if I suspected they were wearing one I went for the head. Maybe that's why I havent yet seen one go off yet. Also. Speaking of Uvalde, I recommend watching Donut Operator's breakdown of the hearing by the state supervisor. Details came out and it looks really bad for the police chief involved and on scene. Short version, multiple officers tried to say they needed to go in but the chief said "no we need to wait" because his brain said this was "a barricaded suspect," which it wasnt, it was someone who was actively shooting. The guy held his officers back, not that it clears the officers either--sometimes you should just know a bad call. Bad leadership above all, and the training needs work for sure.

Have to give the designers and developers the nod here for daring to be bold and creating a very real, very unnerving narrative. This is the greatest spiritual successor to SWAT4 I have ever seen, and it will go down in videogame history. It's these kinds of realistic situations that make tactical "SWAT-likes" all the better. Securing hard drives of *you-know-what* really adds that next step. Based on media and common patterns of these kinds of criminals, we know for a fact what's on those hard drives, that adds another level of immersion and realism, if I'm gonna be honest.

@@jeshitorenburei224 One man with nothing left to lose can make all the difference in the world. Unfortunately, most everybody has something to lose, and these rich, powerful people know it. Cops work for them, not for you. This game is a nice fantasy but that's all it is. In real life, the evil people win. Always.

Wait, how did you the cinematic? - Is there some sort of replay mode and you just unlock the camera with mods or were they re-shoots / B-rolls (but it can't be because it's 1:1) .

Jeez, you guys move so smoothly. There’s almost no unnecessary communication, you know exactly what to do when people move

Cool videos and obviously it’s a game so no sense in getting crazy with clearing mistakes. Just a way that might help. Try limited penetration when you enter a room. Hold just inside the door. One left and one right. A third can come up the middle of it’s a big room. Then while you have 180 degrees of the room covered, decide what threats to work next. You’ll avoid over exposing yourself to deep threats. Again it’s a game and it’s supposed to be fun so take it with a grain of salt. Wish I had a PC to play this. Maybe someday PS5 with get this but probably not.

Trade the ps5 for a pc if you want to play tactical games just look for a pc with a ryzen and atleast 6gb of vram on the gpu.
