I was about to say I can hear you a lot better now awesome. Thank you for getting that new microphone. It's much more enjoyable before. I had to crank it up when you were in the cab. And then when the camera went to outside, it would be so loud. It would piss my neighbor off. LOL so no more up-and-down with the volume. Thank you i'm very grateful for that

Could be wrong but I think the gum he's referring to is sweetgum (aka liquidambar), not eucalyptus. Chris might be able to confirm? Chris, if it is eucalyptus of some kind, it's more than likely excellent timber! Or at least the best firewood you'll ever burn! Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺

I had two massive sweet gum trees (sisters I suspect) on my property. One next to the main road and the other across from another road to the shop. The first one fell down in a storm the Night we took possession and the moving truck had yet to drive in. You can bet I unpacked my U-Haul I brought a number of tools in and my chainsaw (a 20" 50 Ranger at the time). And some t-poles to move the short logs away from the road. I had it cleared by the time they got here. I was ready for a rest, having driven several thousand miles in two days. But I was fit at the time. No machines. Both are gone now as well as a 24" live oak and a 22" Red oak.

You should ask AMI the feasibility of using the grapple rotation section with the digging bucket + thumb. May need a piston driven pin to lock the rotation section for strength while digging that retracts to allow rotation while loading out.

About the Gum Trees. Back in the day, there was a song that mentioned Tupelo Honey. The inference was that it was really good stuff. Fast forward to a couple years ago, I decided to try to find and buy some Tupelo Honey. During my search, I discovered that the name relates to WHERE it is from, and not what it is made of. Tupelo Honey is made from the flowers of the Gum Tree. There seems to be some debate that the White Gum makes the best honey, and others say that the black gum is just as good. So that's my 2 cents on the gum trees. If anyone knows more, please feel free to chime in.

Here in California the Gum trees have been re-branded some how as "Liquid Amber". They are very pretty in the fall but all the criticisms you share of them are still true. I had one it a lawn at a rental I lived in for a while and the roots were always sprouting new suckers and the they were either just at the surface or above it. Not my favorite.

Hi Chris, say hi to the rest of your fellow dirt artists, enjoy the down time. It seems you may not get much more this year...good for you man. We have a Training Team using your work as an example of how it is done. Most of the operators are used to sites, managed by a bunch of flag wavers. They learn from you; how to manage the job, the equipment list, labour and details of the local and state regulations. I started with you when you had a 160 Volvo. Now it seems you have sufficient equipment to do whatever you choose. Brother is an operator, Cat Skinner on huge subdivision projects in Calgary. Most of our crowd are born from the 1950's, still moving dirt. On a note, the issue you had with the H 330, is common on every site in the world now. your "DEF Sensor ", and I quote from Calgary, "has cost the price of one of these machines, in delays and downtime. Without any reason the mechs could find, in short, another way to keep the "patient" on a substance only they control. Permanent client, guaranteed to assure an income from sources never available before. A bunch of us are seeking out, and buying old iron, modern, before the Additives shall we say. Seems to lots of hardware, most of it fully functional, but now some of the larger sites will not let the old stuff operate. Time will tell. Have a great trip, hope to see some silliness from you lot over the next weeks. lol
