I did something similar on my property, now the grandkids can ride their 250cc ATV thru our woodlands and not rile anyone!😊

I hold a "Fall Fest" annually, and set up the trail for my nieces and nephews as a haunted path, and a little candy at the end. This fall/winter, I'll be expanding out to the rest of the property so I can ride the quads myself! Thank for the comment Richard, hope you like the channel and stick around for more videos!

Great work, the only problem is the stress caused in the front axle, tha weight of the tractor all on the front axle is not the best idea, but worked, i would recommend using the 3 point with a puller :) but nice job and good video :)

I agree. It’s not the best way to go about it. I was a rookie back then, really!! Thanks for watching Richard, I should have some more content out soon in the tractor, so I hope you stick around to watch.

4:40 dig into the front of the roots alittle then try pulling it out. 300 pounds + of weight on the back you never would have come off the ground. Great video i love my 1025R

@ArjunFarms I picked up 600 pounds a full rack of suitcase weights. I only ever use 4 of them, though. Rare i bust out the other 4. Look up "stump wrecker" by good works tractor that would be great for all those little trees i love mine.

Did you weld the chain hooks to the bucket or is the bucket sold with those already on it? Thanks
@ArjunFarms
@ArjunFarms Жыл бұрын
Hey nseston! I actually installed the hooks myself, they bolt on to the bucket. You just drill the holes using a step bit and tighten the hooks on. As a matter of fact, I have a video on this very subject on my channel called “bolt on hooks for front loader installation”. Check it out, and I hope you stick around for more videos

for small or medium trees and shrubs, a pruning saw or chain saw + herbicide for woody plants should be more efficient and more safe. less soil disturbance too.

Hey Thomas, thanks for stopping by and leaving a thoughtful comment. I guess I like to muscle things out, which might not be the best method! I encourage you to check out my latest video, I use the same hooks and chain you see here, but added some counterweight to help out. This was done for my newest project, the permaculture forest! Hope you stick around to watch how it all plays out. -Krsna

Thats a lot of physical labor when you have a tractor to do it for you. some would argue that the herbicide does more damage to the soil than moving it.

I've seen a triangle shaped digging attachment on the front for digging out small trees and shrubs, instead of the chain pulling your doing. Much faster.

@ArjunFarms Жыл бұрын
Hey Andrew, I appreciate you dropping a comment on my video! I’ve seen that stump bucket attachment too, doesn’t look too bad. I’ll be honest, I use that chain method so frequently, and while it works for me, maybe there’s a better way out there. I even used the chain in my latest video, but I also added a carry all and some ballast weight to tackle larger trees and shrubs. Please feel free to watch that one as well, and there’s more to come my friend! -Krsna

Great operator but rear ballast would make your life much easier and safer. Your tractor will preform much better. Good stuff

@@ArjunFarms I have a ballast box which is much cheaper then weights. I put plastic tubes in each corner to allow shovels or rakes to stored and transported. i have also put a chain saw holder in it and put steel balls for extra weight but rocks or gravel will work. By using 2 inch to 5 inch balls it is only half full. There is space left for chains and a small container of gas and oil for the chain saw. This box can serve many functions for me. As a Last resort you can also make one from concrete.

@ArjunFarms
@ArjunFarms Жыл бұрын
You’re telling me the back of the tractors not supposed to lift up like that?? It’s one of them things, Marc. Haven’t gotten around to purchasing the weight cases but will eventually need something like that!
@yolala100
@yolala100 Жыл бұрын
@@ArjunFarms Nope, not supposed at all, put way to much weight/stress on the front axle. Just by adding a simple rear attachment can do the job.
