Do you need to have a Class A cdl to tow your 50?

No. You can haul it with a F250 or what ever your flavor of truck and the right 14K trailer. I did. I had a 2015 F250 with a 6.7 power stroke in it. I had 2 extra leaves in the back springs to help. Then I had a lighter weight 14K trailer and it did just fine. I was at the top of the scale but it did fine. That being said it is way better hauling it on a bigger truck and trailer combo. I just did it because that's what I had at the time. Whats the reason you don't want to get a CDL ?
