Thanks. I was wondering what it would be like out on a party fishing boat. And what types of fish you would catch.

There were a few grouper caught but no keepers this day. Snapper are fairly common but have to be in season. I think you get what you pay for so a private charter would definitely be better fish but also a lot more expensive

Well I can tell you this about Sand key Park or they got some big ass snook right there I've caught some big red fish and some big snook right there as your passing on the the queen fleets boat right there on the left hand side that whole area all the way down through there catching outgoing tide using medium to large pen fish about a 4-ft liter 8 oz weight and hang on

Just booked a half day. Do they provide bait or do we need to bring and is there drinks available onboard or should we pack a cooler?

They have bait on board but you can bring a cooler with food and drinks.

They have some cut bait they provide. Squid and mullet. We tried bringing some shrimp but mostly just got picked from the hook.

@@easonadventures the reason I was asking is because I feel like their squid seems thicker than the stuff we buy for bait. It’s hard for fish to steal the bait. I was wondering where I can get some of their squid.

The dolphin are also a pain at the ft soto pier and also south skyway.

Fortunately didn't affect us much other than the entertainment. I've heard they are bait stealers from the pier

About all you can do unless you get a private charter. They are just too expensive. Still a Fun way to get on the water.

Any recommendation on your own bait to bring?

Live pin fish if you can find them and keep them alive cut up chunks even if they are dead. They died on the way out for me even with an aerator. The rods they give you have single hooks if you bring a double or triple drop rig to tie on instead it will double and triple your hookups. I wish I would have known that when I went out. bring a few for snags. Good luck

If you want to catch some junk fish, this is it for you. If not, go do a split charter with someone, catch some real fish, grouper, ARS etc. No way am I paying $89 for an adult for 4-5 hours fishing for junk fish. Takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours each way, then fish maybe 4-5 hours. Plenty of charters around here will do split charter with 5-6 people where you are buying one seat. Will catch more fish, better fish and have fun.

And here I was thinking I had fun! I did just learn about split charters and I'll definitely have to look more into that. Obviously the fishing would be better than these type of boats. I would guess they would still run about double for a full day charter right?

Who in the world wants to pay $80 to $100 to catch Grunts. Find another charter is all I can say.

It's about access and cost. Private charters are over $1000. Let me know if you find any for $4-500.

Wasn’t exactly what we were looking for. That being said I’ll go back out next time I’m there just because the price is right. The local experts were using double triple and quadruple rigs and caught a lot more fish.
