I remember getting cletus CD's and I was into the parody phase of my music experience. It was after I left the Amish Paradise, weird al was on his downhill run of his career and Cletus T. Judd filled the void. Also I was into country music then, too. Although not a fan of today's version, I could listen to the Seminole wind blowing all day. That's a John Anderson reference for you younger folks. There was Reba, Wynonna Judd was doing big solo, Joe Diffie, Aaron Tippin, Garth Brooks, Keith Whitley, and I was a fan of Mary Chapin Carpenter. Just a few of my favorite artist from that day. To me, country music was at another peak then.

enigma1326 thank you for the advice you posted . many people who dips '' thinks '' ....oh i'll never get no cancer or gum disease '' but is not true . also JUST brushing your teeth will not prevent cancer . i'm 50 yrs old , been dipping for 42 yrs and I AM FINE ... but everyone has a dormant cancer gene and it needs something to trigger it , to turn it on and when it does ... you know the rest of what a person will go thru . my grandma who died in 1999 at 88 yrs old , died of natural causes BUT she used c&c snuff at least as long as i could remember as a kid ..... never had any problems with teeth , gums etc.,,,, in my immediate family me & her was the only one who used snuff ( i dip Copenhagen ) and never no sore gums or anything . one of my sons who is 25 yrs old , dipped and started getting little white/reddish spots on his lip/gum and got real sore , he went to doctor and doc told him that if he did not quit , it would turn to cancer , so he stopped ! i'm not saying that at 50 i WILL NOT have problems in the future with dipping snuff BUT that gene everyone has , did not '' turn on '' with me or my grandmother but it shipped her , me but my son WOULD HAVE developed cancer if he had not stopped . The moral of this story that i am telling other persons like me who dip is this ....if your lip/gums get sore when you put dip in , STOP DIPPING for a couple days and see if it is STILL SORE AND/OR HAS SMALL BUMPS on it .... IF it still does , it is from the tobacco and go to a doctor and get it checked out for your own sake and your family's sake . if the soreness goes away , IT IS STILL FROM the dip and be careful if you continue to dip . But as it stands for me , i will dip on and thanks enigma1326 for your input above .. some will laugh and THINK CANCER WILL NEVER GET THEM FROM DIPPING but it can , i watched a very close friend die from lip cancer due to dipping .

As I said, if you choose to use tobacco products make sure you are contacting your dental health professionals to learn about what signs and symptoms are for oral cancer! Dipping and smoking isn't the only cause of it, but they increase the risk. I know people who dip and smoke every day of their lives and not come out with cancer but I know people who were affected by it as well! Cancer isn't a myth. It's a disease that in some forms (like breast and oral) you can do regular checks to detect them. If you don't know what to check for, ask your medical professionals! I will add to what Steve said about "stop dipping" if your lips/gums/cheek/tongue get sore. If those are sore, contact your dental office. This information is vital no matter how you look at it. They will want to know about any lumps, bumps, sores, and pains when they start, when they go away, and if they come back. Your mouth can be affected by a lot of diseases while also it can cause a lot of diseases as well. There are recent studies about how gingivitis is tied to heart disease.
