Was in Cleethorpes visiting my family last week during the Armed Forces weekend where 250,000 viisitors turned up over the weekend. The town centre was literally packed with visitors. What a great week for the town.

I live in Grimsby and having a beach on your doorstep is to die for I’m 71 and those amusements have been on the beach since I was a kid we used to have a indoor fair at the north end called wonderland with a great big wooden roller coaster enjoy your walk mate if you want good fish and try steels cornerhouse in the market place

We moved to just outside Cleethorpes 6 months ago…I love it. People are friendly and I get to see the sea every day

Used to come to cleethorpes in our touring caravan and stayed at Thorpe parks caravan site. The night life in cleethorpes was very good. I've never seen the sea so farin on the beach near where the rides are.

The building that you asked about used to be a Toby Inn which became Deans night club in 1983, then became JD's night club after a refurb in 1996, not sure when it was converted to apartments, maybe early 2000s.

shame about pleasure island although Tuckers Funfairs go there 2 weeks at easter and summer holidays at the meridian showground also i believe premier inn have pulled out of cleethorpes
