@@mannybarboza9970 It’s a lot of work for sure. Just have to do everything myself….. find stuff, act, film, edit. Artifacts are so plentiful here because resources were plentiful. Not far, in Ohio, there are many flint sources. So many natives lived here. I see people in tour area finding a lot of quartz arrowheads. I don’t find many of those in my area.

In lreland stones axes are often found in pastures or farm's during ploughing. My brother found one in 1984 in a wall of dry stones. Its now in Dublin Museum of Antiquity.

My older brother Steve found a celt very similar to that one, maybe just a touch larger, less than 40 miles from where your at. Not along the river but out in the middle of nowhere. It also looks to be of the same material. I'm glad I found your channel, I get views of different things from back home. I'm originally from St. Joesphs, Proctor, but now live in SC.

Europeans didn’t bring domestic tobacco over until the late 18th Century. Before that, indigenous Americans smoked tobacco that grew wild, and archaeologists have found nicotine residue in pipes as old as 2500 BC. They also smoked a number of other substances, depending upon the region and what was available to them.

The bone thing with the hole you can see on some old photos used on headdresses on belt ends and other piece of clothing just push a leather end into the hole and you have a nice clothing accessories. We always called them clackers ad you know they could be heard clacking together...

Concerning that blunted piece you found and you wondered what they used them for, I always wondered if they used those to practice with the atlatyl or bow. Maybe they slung the blunted points at deer hides. The blunted point would not pierce and ruin the hide…

As far as your pipe you found. You wondering about if they smoked tobacco with that pipe? Will they smoked many types of plants. Under bark of dog wood was used. Mullen was smoked for medical purposes like lung congestion. And many other things.

The little piece that has a perfect hole in the end reminds me of a sewing tool my mother had. Hers was a seam ripper. That could be a sewing tool handle but the business end fell out.

Wicked finds! I believe the Celt is an adze though. You can usually tell based on whether the bit is centered or not. I bet one side is slightly more polished than the other as well.

It is tapered to favor one side for sure. But it’s polished pretty much the same all over. Whatever category it falls into, I’m pretty sure on the wood chopping. Have you ever watched Primitive Technologies channel? I think the natives were more advanced than we think.

Sucks when you go to the ol diggin spot an your shovel and screen is gone.been there. The hemitite (CHUNKY) is the killer find of the day very nice. And great job an congrats on the 2 piece find. The antler-bone stem looks legit to me weather it is mod or ancient is a question if it came out of the ground deep ancient. Thanks for sharing.

Thank You! Yea, I can’t figure it out. One guy said maybe part of an old turkey call. It’s all shaped by hand, I can see sanding abrasions all over it. The hole is about an inch deep.

I am far from being an expert but I have always been told that a celt was a scraping tool. I have a number of them in my collection made from flint, sandstone and granite and one made from green stone. The one that has been sharpened down is a blunter point. It got broke some way and the indian shaped it flat for 2 uses. One was for stunning small animals as compared to killing it. The second use they fastened it to a short stick and used it as a scraper or knife. Love your videos and your enthusiasm when you find something. Keep the videos coming.

There are channels on KZbin that search for missing people. They found a missing couple close to here last year. They search for cars in the rivers with cameras on the boat. It’s a search for them to find cars, let alone hundreds.
