At second game i don't think the fake cloak banshee upgrade did any real good for clem, at other hand, when he was pushing at 37:30 Solar didn't had detection so those two banshees could have been a great help if cloaked instead of just dying right there.

Sad to see Terran struggle in the late game. As soon as it gets to Ghost vs Infestor Viper there seems to be little chance for success. The opposite can be said for Zerg in the middle game. If they can't force it to the late game the chance of victory against marine medivac tank push seems minimal. Not sure what needs to change, just an observation from watching two of the best in their respective races.

I agree with what you're saying. TvZ seems to favor Terran until Zerg can field a 300 supply lategame army, at which point the odds reverse. Yes, Zerg can win early/midgame (usually if Terran blunders), and yes, Terran can win endgames (usually if Zerg blunders). Still, even if the matchup is balanced on paper, there's a sort of slant to the games which leaves Zerg waiting idle and defensive for more favorable endgame odds, a style which Solar in particular shows off. Meanwhile Terran is forced to attack almost constantly, and if they can't somehow capitalize on their early advantage, their odds fall off over time. EDIT: Consider how overtuned Queens and Ghosts are. Both are S+ tier units which are overpowered 'in a vacuum', and which act as bandaids to help their races survive in game stages when they otherwise struggle. For a start, SC2 would be far better imo if we got rid of bandaid solutions and found ways to fix the underlying problems in each matchup.

This explanation makes sense, but is ultimately an odd way to look at it. From another perspective, it's really about the relationship between having map control and being ahead, and how the different races interact with that relationship. In the example of game 3 here, yes, Clem is really struggling in the late game... Against a Zerg who has maintained TWICE as many bases for nearly 20 minutes. In the example of game 5 here, Solar can't get map control in the opening, so he just immediately loses the game. Terran has an absurd number of tools to stay in a game far after they've totally lost map control. Zerg just straight-up loses if they don't have map control, so the games never make it to that point.

Both infestors and vipers are prime snipe targets, and ghosts are only TWO supply each. in fact you dont see lurkers with the main army in most of the games since snipe exists and forbids zerg from building anything but lingbane
