@bjohnson20033 жыл бұрын
@@VirginiaFruitGrower Coconut doesn't sound like a great option for your warmer climate. Last July - Sept, I arranged all my citrus pots from side to side in a big circle, and laid a drip hose on them with a timer for a daily watering, which saved lots of time. Our cool season is pretty much 7-8 months out of the year, and our warm season highs (May-Sept) are typically 70-85, so it's generally a good medium for this climate.

The fruit looks like a brain 🧠 😆 That color wow, not much seeds, is that because it would have needed a little longer? Update: You said it was a mandarin, that's probably why.

Yep the Rubino does look like a brain lol! It is basically seedless. The Budd Blood does have a few seeds. I was surprised to see your stream with Small Seeds!
@karwoski913 жыл бұрын
I'm undecided between a Clementino Rubino and a Calamansi "Philippine Lime" eventhough I live in a 10a I had little or no success with citrus due to the repentine climate changes in winter it can get from 10a to 8b, I'd still prefer slightly the clementino rubino in taste but I heard calamansi produce all year round and is probably more cold tolerant.
@VirginiaFruitGrower3 жыл бұрын
Hi karwoski91! It pretty much depends on what you want. A citrus fruit you can eat out of hand or a fruit for mostly culinary uses. Calamondin is fairly easy to grow and produces a lot of fruit once established. It make a delicious citrus-juice too. Clementino Rubino's taste is good but I feel like Amoa 8 is tastier.
