I also got into watching Clement because of his Sonic '06 review (and later Johnny, BrainStratchComm, and just about anyone who talks about Sonic- both good and bad). I look back at that review at times now having a mixex bag of emotions. On one hand, I'm glad I found it (thanks to the video recommendations) & was entertained by it. I laughed my ass off!😂 On the other hand, I wished I had worked my way up to those videos- starting with "good" Sonic review/lp videos. But, I enjoyed this crazy ride with Clement. something hit me where i wanted to watch the entire ~10 year retrospective, i remember watching the early lets plays years back after discovering this channel by the 06 review. after jumping in and out, guess it's fair to say i'm a fan of not only the videos, but of clement himself. i can feel more eager looking to his other stuff, like his mega man retrospective (HA), his video essays about a series history and lore will be a fun treat, deff can casually listen to the C² podcast as well. To be perfectly honest, I would’ve never have subbed to any other you tubers like SomecallmeJohnny, hellfire, brainscratch, etc. without finding clement. I started watching clement when I finally found a SA2 let’s play back in 2011 that was in good quality. I stayed and bunged watched it the same day and checked out that he had more sonic games to offer and more. I’d say about a week goes by I’ve seen SomecallmeJohnny drop a review and then it snowballed from there. So all I can say clement is thank you for tackling all sonic games

Not going to lie, I actually shed a tear watching this. It is so hard to believe that I have been watching "The Great" Clement for 10 years. I remember when I first watched Clement play the original Sonic Adventure and instantly fell in love with the informative and fun commentary. Whether he was sharing his knowledge of the game, or doing cheesy fun skits that I absolutely found hilarious (including the Eggman plush which I absolutely loved just for the simple humor and smile it gave me everytime I watched a Sonic vid), I knew that whenever I got home from college and university and saw a video posted by Clement, that was the first thing I clicked before anything else because I knew I was getting high quality content. When it came time for the Sonic 06 video, I was absolutely blown away by how amazing it actually was (and dare say it IS the best review of 06 on the entirety of youtube leaving no stone un-turned with that game). Clement has been the breath of fresh air that the Sonic community needed and the way he communicates his point of view is so unique and different from everyone else that he instantly stood out as one of the best youtubers that I've seen in a long time. It may have started with Sonic, but since then I have watched everything from Wrestlegamia, Megaman, Super Meat Boy (of which I still think you are crazy for doing what you did, but I love it all the same) and now the Final Fantasy retrospectives. Everything has been an amazing ride and while I never comment on your videos, that doesn't mean I never watched them. At the end of it, I just want to say "thank you" for the ride and for helping me through my college, university and now my work years as I know that whenever you upload a video, I know I will enjoy it because it will give me a chance to relax after dealing with so much stress in my life. It truly is hard to believe that it has been 10 years and the ride along to this point has been a wonderful experience that words can't even describe. I was just looking for walkthroughs of Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 because those were the two main games I played when I was a kid. Then I saw BrainScratch and Cybershell, and then in March or April 2010, I saw you playing Sonic Triple Trouble. In my eyes, you had already played so many games, I just had to stick with you. Probably just because they were seen as "too brutal" at the time. Sega could ask the USK to rate the game again and they would instantly make it legal to be sold by they don't really bother. Happened with other stuff as well.

I started watching the retrospective around Sonic Adventure, and I absolutely loved the let's plays because at the time I was 13 and I got into Sonic through Generations and went back and played Adventure and everything and I absolutely loved the entire series, and your let's plays along with other KZbinrs like SomeCallMeJohnny really solidified my love for the series and the better part of the fandom as a whole. To be honest your let's plays got me through some tough times during middle school, because I liked Sonic and talked about it more than other people did at the time, I was bullied constantly during Grade 8. It was alienating and really devastating for me at the time to figure out that the people that I thought were my friends joined the others in making fun of me just because I liked a series that for me was a great time. But after all of the bullying and harassment during those years, it was really comforting to log in and watch videos about people that were more passionate about the series. It really felt at the time that I was never alone and that there were always people that I would never know sharing the same love for a little blue hedgehog. I'm 21 now, and your videos are still one of the greatest memories I have about my childhood, and watching this video made me realize how much I love the series to this day. Thank you Clement.

Ho man did I need this considering that a lot of people have been saying this past decade has been “one of the worst decades for Sonic” and a lot of people saying they hate this franchise cause it’s too kiddy and light hearted, I really I’m glad theirs people like you Clement, really glad. Thanks to you I got into Mega man and really love it. I just like to think that whenever somebody has giving up on Sonic I’ll always remember guys like you who actually try to show “Hey this games actually great give it a try see what you think” and I kinda feel like some fans say the “dark age” was the best decade of Sonic. It’s really great seeing you improve all these years when you get to certain games in franchises and I’ve been enjoy your content since your Tails adventure LP all the way back then and will continue to enjoy your content (and hopefully KZbin doesn’t take it down) whether it’s Sonic, Mega man or a random LP I look forward to tuning in.
