hello, it's me. another month another video.
i have a lot of feelings and no words to really convey them. we hit 44k subscribers yesterday (perhaps the day before that, who's counting? not me!) and, on this day last year, i had around one and a half thousand. and that is weird. good weird.
nov 16th 2020, i posted a video and i went to sleep. that's about it. i put on my funny little unus annus shirt and i sang a fun little song and i put it into the hands of a thousand people and now there are... decidedly, a lot more of you. and i've had a wonderful time meeting you and getting to make noise for you. i still don't quite know what im doing or who i am - but i've been doing and... am-ing regardless. you allowed me into your screen and you've been a very gracious host and i couldn't ask for a more welcoming and kind group of people to hold hands with.

This one hits as emotionally hard as As The World Caves In x Cancer, but in a much more heartbreaking and angsty way. Love how this one came out! You've given us a gift. EDIT: Editing two years later to say that I keep coming back to this one most out of all the mashups you've done. It's so raw and powerful and deeply satisfying to listen to as it builds up and breaks. Even in the end, it doesn't fizzle out it just feels like it's heightening in a new way. This song found me at a very tumultuous time in my life, and listening to it over these last couple of years has really helped me with venting out building frustration, betrayal, and disappointment. You're so incredibly talented, and the music you make is invaluable.

This makes me think of a toxic relationship. Happier than ever being the victim of the two, And Boring being the sort of attacker? They’re bored of the relationship. Again. As the song progresses, the HTE is finally standing up for themself and saying how unfair Boring has been to them. Boring continues to block it all out, using any distraction, everything is so boring to them, they feel nothing. HTE continues to talk, to reason, to cry even. But boring won’t listen. They never do. Finally, HTE snaps and it turns into a full on argument. “I’d never treat me this sh!tty. You made me hate this city!” Strikes a nerve and triggers Boring a bit. i’ve had this song on repeat since i’ve found it. i loved the As the World Caves in x Cancer mashup! But this one in particular reminds me of a narcissistic relationship. Like one is entirely in love with the narcissist, but they know they have to let go. And the narcissist is simply using them for entertainment. I adore the way in which you sing, “What are you boring me for?” Like it makes me melt! The emotion! The talent! It’s truly sensational.
