There used to be a miniature railway track around the park where the children would have a train ride

The reason why the water is so murky is down to the fact that it’s the second or third highest tidal range in the world. The tides are very strong which whips the mud and silt up! The water colour keeps people away thank god as the whole area of North Somerset would probably look like sand banks in Poole by now! If you went a few miles to the west of the Holms islands the water starts to get blue/green.. Clevedon was a great place to have a drink up in the 90s with a pub and club near the pier called Blitz. We had some great nights in there back in the day and not so great nights as well lol.

Thanks you for that information, I learned one or two things. I would like to go to Holmes island, can you get a boat there from Weston? Yea the 90s had a lot more going on for sure than these days.

@@journeytoanotherworld steepholm is part of N Somerset and you can get a boat from Weston but it’s not a regular from what I believe. Flatholm is part of Wales so you can get a trip out of Cardiff.
