Cleveland Hills | Bilsdale

An XC ride taking in the Cleveland Hills beginning with a climb up through Broughton Plantation and onto Clay Bank before dropping down into Bilsdale and back up onto the Cleveland Hills via Urra Moor.
The ride then continues to the top of Ingleby Incline and onto Ingleby Moor before heading down a fantastic descent to Bank Foot near Ingleby Greenhow and back on to Stokesley.

HOW TO GET THERE:
This ride starts at Stokesley Leisure Centre just off the B1257 Stokesley to Helmsley road on the outskirts of Stokesley. Stokesley can be reached by either the A172 or B1365 if coming from Middlesbrough, the A172 if coming via the A19 from the south, the A173 from Great Ayton or the B1257 if travelling from Helmsley.
As you turn in off the B1257, there is a small parking area with a number of spaces available on the right hand side before you reach the leisure centre.
POST RIDE:
There are plenty of facilities in Stokesley including cafes, pubs and shops. However, if you wish to start the ride in Stokesley town centre, there is ample car parking available but please note that although parking is free, there are areas which are disc parking with a time limit.

Cheers thanks for that 👍 Yes there was certainly quite a bit of climbing on the ride but the views and descent down to Bank Foot made up for it though 😁
