SCALBY MILLS TO FILEY
The seventh and last day of our 110 mile walk. A lovely day to finish our seven days in Yorkshire. Gordon, a Yorkie then living in Leeds, Bill Brown, a Yellowbelly from Lincolnshire and myself, an exiled Yorkie then and still living in Lincolnshire.
We left Scalby and walked along the Marine Drive of Scarborough's North Bay.Passing through the castle grounds we climbed over to the harbour and South Bay.
A cliff-top walk then followed, all the way to Filey.
Viewers may notice that on this final day, the video recorder had developed an intermittent fault, resulting in my having to use still-shots to replace several unusable segments of the video.
However, the machine behaved OK towards the end, resulting in a watchable account of the walk.
I do hope that watching this has been an inspiration to those wishing to attempt the Cleveland Way and perhaps a few pleasant memories to those who have completed it.
This video was filmed and edited using Panasonic VHS equipment back in 1984 - 23 years ago!
