From what I heard the guy on "Aerogarden Experiments" channel say, the lettuce leaves curling & browning NEEDS a fan blowing on them & the tomato leaves turning that color NEEDS more nutrients : Calcium to be exact... He used Cal-Mag & the plants looked so much better. He fed a certain amt every other week of regular AG feeding & they turned out great! Might want to check him out for your own channel info. 😊. I'm amazed that there is no pump in the left unit 😮. How are the roots supposed to get oxygen ? Am still enjoying your videos.

Interesting video. I am still stumped on how roots are cleaned out of the Areogarden without damaging anything.

I noticed that your click and grow float was quite high. It should be filled to max level with the top of the tank. I have found the click and grow works very well with herbs and with various chillis. You have to pollibate the flowers yourself. For a system that doesnt need nutrients, the plants keep going for months. I planted piri piri las September. They are still flowering and giving piri piris a year later. I also find that a white surface helps. The click and grow works so well for me, I now have several.

Great video, also you can get for the Click and Growt, pro caps with the slits for tomatoes and other fruiting plants, which I have. There were issues about the roots being bound. Green vegetables grow very well in the Click and Grow. Tomatoes with the pro cap grow well. I have two Click and Grow, 9, and I am growing tomatoes and I have fruits, they taste very nice indeed. I have Harvest and Bounty Aerogarden, I also pollinate my tomatoes flowers with an electric toothbrush. Plus, I'm growing tomatoes in a kratky system as well, they are also fruiting.

The Click and Grow didn't have the white wall beside it to reflect more light. I was surprised how inedible the lettuces looked. I think these would be better suited for smaller herbs like basil. Enjoyed the video. In a kitchen you'd be using leaves as they grow so you'd have better looking plants.

Lovely review! Although I heard Aerogarden is now closing the shop. I guess it's only Click & Grow now if I'm looking for a brand with reliable business, customer support, and a simple solution? All those off brand models and DYI setups seem cumbersome and fishy.

Thank you so much. I am just editing a video about AG shutting down and it should be up later today! My fave is still Rise Gardens, they are more expensive but in terms of growing a lot at home I feel they are the best. Click and Grow is great too, but be aware they don't have a pump! I have videos about all of them on channel and happy to answer any questions you may have!

I was surprised as i have two click n grows but have never seen it as bad as on your video- must have been the float too high? I have grown most things in them without incident or any brown leaves etc! I grew the tomatoes and salad last year and put the tomatoes outside too- they continued fruiting well into autumn.

I’d go with AeroGarden because the nutrients are in the water meaning you can theoretically grow a much longer lasting plant

With LED's you want the lights a few inches from the plant. Theres a reason why it's so low on the click and grow, should have left it as is.
@The_IndoorGardener Жыл бұрын
The target is to keep the light within 4-6 inches from the tops of the plants

I love my aerogarden but the roots of my DILL are growing out of (above) the pod and IDK what to do or ow to share a photo. It is making it unstable as won’t stand straight. But growing big. Has yours done this?

CG has experiential pods specifically for fruiting plants. Likely the pods used in this video didn't have enough food, and the fruiting pods have more?
@The_IndoorGardener Жыл бұрын
Thanks Jenny…Those new I haven’t seen those before I will need to grab some and do a new test. Thanks for mentioning that! Someone else mentioned the pro-cups which give the roots more space so I grabbed some of those too!
@jya811 Жыл бұрын
@@The_IndoorGardener I've used the pro cups before with my CG and yes the roots grow into the water, so I did put nutrients in the water as well and the plants got quite large. I think aerogarden lights are more powerful though so you'll probably still get more yield quicker with aerogarden. 😊

@dontbanmebrodontbanme54034 ай бұрын
I wouldn't buy either of these, but I definitely wouldn't buy the Click & Grow. * You're forced to use their proprietary pods * The amount of growing space is TINY! Basically, the Click and Grow is a subscription service. You want to grow anything? Buy their pods. Or I guess you could buy a bag of potting soil and put them in the grow pots, but I'm not sure what kind of magic soil they're using and not sure if regular soil is packed with enough nutrients to get that kind of growth in such a tiny amount of space. I've printed a 3D hydroponics tower, about 6' tall. So much better. You can grow so much in a 2'x2' space. You could also just buy one of those 27 gallon totes from your big box store drill holes in them, put net pots in them with rockwool/pool foam and your seeds, put nutrients and water in it and put a $30 full spectrum grow light above and get a TON more food. Again, though, nothing beats a hydroponic tower for the amount of food you can grow in a small footprint.

Why even do and post a review if you're not even going to capture it? Like just snap even a pic here and there. No one is that busy so this shouldn't even be posted Edit: Ugh even more mention of neglect so how is this even a good experiment?! I come to these videos to learn about these devices to make life and growing easier but of course it isn't even slightly accurate. I suppose the take away is the 2nd one is best for people lazy like me but I don't try to pawn off actual comparison videos. Know not to watch any more of OPs videos for accuracy
