Great choice of affordable PLC. I work with Click all the time. To watch the flashing on your laptop go to the monitor drop menu and press monitor.

It is amazing to see you are getting into the more affordable hardware for learning as I went and got one for my self . Looking forward to many exciting projects. Thank you for the training.

Great video, very informative and to the point. I have been looking for an easy way to get into PLCs and that is about as easy as it gets. Thank you! :)

Thank you sir. It's definitely much easier than many make it seem. Message me in private; I'll send you a free coupon for a course of mine on PLCs if you're interested.

Thank you for the offer! I just bought your course on Udemy, its discounted more than enough to show appreciation for the knowledge you share. Its a great help for any electronics enthusiast or young engineer. :)

Wow, thank you for that! If you need any additional codes for friends, colleagues, etc, don't hesitate to contact me. I'd much rather have 10 people who learn and followed the course for free, than 100 people who paid for it and never actually listened to any lecture. Thank you once again, let me know if you have any PLC questions.

Great video man, very visually informative. I haven't worked with plc's since the Allen Bradley in college. I have a project I'm starting to upgrade a few machines from mechanical 240v timer controls for my company. I have been looking at purchasing these but I've never built a cabinet before so I'm definitely learning as I go. I built a program and an interface, just have to purchase the hardware and hope I don't break anything hooking it up. Covering some videos on the physical wiring of these with terminal blocks inside a cabinet would be awesome. The most confusing part to me was how to wire and protect everything properly. Like dealing with inductive loads and why RTD's and TC's can't be used with standard analog inputs.

At first glance... I would have routed the 24DC output wires out the other side, and crimped ring terminals on the AC input connections.

I'm thinking about adding one of these to an off grid solar project. I will be running a 24 V DC system with a charge controller, batteries and inverter. Other than basic current protection, a fuse, do you think I would have to add a voltage regulator to keep from damaging the Click with power fluctuations?

Hey very good Vid, are you still doing anything with the Click PLC? Seems that this was done in 2018, am looking forward to your videos if you are still at it. Have programmed Modicon/Schneider and Allen Bradley. Modicon from the 784 series up to Quantum, and AB from PLC 2 Mini to the Control Logics. Am an Industrial Electrician with emphasis on Controls, PLC, 4-20mA devices etc.....hopefully you are still on.

I subscribe your KZbin presentation, very simple and very informative, how much is that PLC unit you just unboxed. do I need to buy that unit in order for me to run in actual my program or just do the program and simulate the control in my laptop. thanks a lot.

Can the Click PLC having EtherNet IP be connected to Rockwell PLC?? The Click PLC will receive data via the EtherNet IP from the Rockwell PLC
@aussiegruber864 жыл бұрын

I know this is old, but download the EDS from the click. Upload it to the Allen Bradley. Done. Now the click is an IO for the AB.

Talking about "bridge", I think PLC manufacturers need to engineer the bridge in the PLC hardware. Ladder drawing is difficult. Maybe I'm wrong

Hello Vladimir, I am looking into purchasing your factory talk course in udemy. However, I am a "learn by doing it" kind of student. I want to download the software. However, when I try to download the software the rockwell automation website requires a "Serial Number" I assume that it is necessary to purchase a license. I DONT KNOW HOW TO PURCHASE IT OR GET IN CONTACT WITH THE REPRESENTANT. could you point me in the right direction? I really want to learn factory talk

Hello man, i did some code for automatic gardening, im almost finished, it uses your LCD MENU tutorial code, with some tweaks and also reads some sensors, i would like to know if you could check it so i know im on the right path. also want to know how to use delays longer than an integer, as delay max in milis is like 32ksomething
@petercollins7974 жыл бұрын
I'm certain this won't be timely enough to help you but in case anyone has the same question and finds your comment, I have had timers cause a counter to count up every x time, say once a second, then once the counter reaches 3600 you can have something happen, then reset the counter.
@cheblack6774 жыл бұрын
For longer delay just use another integer variable. Let's say every 25k millis increase the second variable so you can have 25 seconds * 32k which is over 220 hours. if you need longer take a third variable. When you rich 32000 on the second, increase the third and start the second from zero. You can have 25 seconds*32000*32000 = 811 years. I don't think any of us would be still around here to witness the moment.

You lost communication because you changed the IP address. Disconnect and reconnect to the new IP address.
