They hit it off pretty well and it is quite clear that they are friendly towards each other. Singaporeans tend to be lax or laidback even towards the elderly when we know each other well. Maybe it is not for your culture but this video should be understood in the context of our culture. Plus, being overly formal is not the style of the presenter and channel.
