I think a lot of people dont look past the innuendos at the beginning of this game and overlook the later plot. While it is a play on words and strange with the context, it easy to see that this is a man that is very unfufilled and depressed, and that he is disappointed with how his life went. In the dream he describes the perfect man, one who is strong and clean, and although he refers to himself as that, he isn't He hires the player, not entirely for gratification but also because he is unfafilled and desperate. It can bw assumed that in his own life he was never truly satisfied. He had a wife and kids, perhaps because he though it was the normal thing to do, or something that would make him the perfect man. At the end of the game, he's had enough. He has had his last talk and his comfort, and doesnt want to continuing living a life thay he precieves as weak and unclean.. (Of course, he still is a tiny bit crazy tho)
