Hi, thanks for the video. Can you please do a video on IPv6 and if your using, why your not using it. And when using it what your advice and experience has given you when deploying it on projects like this. THANKS.

Great setup. I just finished installing everything at the second location today. It was pretty much plug and play with all the work you guys did setting everything up.

You don't have to use the set-inform manually. You can hand out the controller address via DHCP.

Yup

Can’t you also set a static DNS entry unifi.localdomain replacing localdomain with your LAN domain? I’ve done that many times, especially when I have clients connecting to my hosted controller.

For the UniFi, we have cloud key for a client at their main location and site to site vpn from main location to multiple remote locations. Remote locations all have their own UniFi APs, which all connect to the main office Cloud key. Works well!

Hi Lawrence, any chance to do a vid on video conferencing. Seems to be products in the market that are not open source that may not be secure and totally private. If you have done one previously maybe a reminder and update would be great. Thanks. Love your shows.

Jitsi.org is opensource and looks good

Just curious on why you picked the AC Pros in this case vs say the nanoHD. Presumably for better 2.4Ghz since their price has effectively become the same?

@Lawrence Systems / PC Pickup 203.0.113.0/24, 198.51.100.0/24 and 192.0.2.0/24 are public and reserved for documentation/examples...so you don't need to throw in other people's IPs in examples

I do it to show that pfsense will work with more than just reserved addresses.
@xephael34854 жыл бұрын
@@LAWRENCESYSTEMS I understand, but the public ones above are reserved ranges for examples/documentation...if that makes sense.

Oh, could you share the stencils used to make the diagram please?
@wannabedal-adx4584 жыл бұрын
Good video with lots of good information. Maybe start with the diagram and a the overall objective of the project before showing the equipment and wire layout in the lab. Had a hard time following along. Thanks.

Hi Tom, thanks for the content you provide. Do I see that correctly that you are still using AP AC Pros for new installations? I know they work good, but are you not worried about UBNT sending them EOL soon since they already announced the same for the In-Wall Pros? Just asking since the NanoHDs are basically the same price, maybe not as mature though, but will definitely be supported for longer from now.

Why don’t you use USG or USG Pro as a router and for VPN (IPSEC or auto)?
@nickharvey51494 жыл бұрын
Probably as pfSense is FAR more fully featured!
@romchiko4 жыл бұрын
Nick Harvey agree about features, but usg based on vyatta can do any kind of routing and a-lot VPN. + nice UI for client.

According to latest studies, Covid can survive airborne for 3 hrs, one day on cardboard and up to three days on plastic/metal... but still if you follow the guidelines (wash hands, avoid touching face, mouth and eyes) risks are WAY lower than simply stand in line at the grocery store or taking public transportation...

@@TheDexterFishbourne you are talking about the known cases, the number of unknown cases is way higher due to weak test availability. The problem with this human malware is that it is way more deadly than normal flu
