Lovely voice & he can adjust it w/ whoever accompanies him or singing duet w/ him, very versatile or shall I say the genius in him. This is one of the reasons why he is envied, then they try to find the negative in him instead of thanking God England has a very extraordinary being reaping honors for his country.

I loved this. But Cliff’s original 1963 key of this song (D) is already now too low for Cliff’s voice, yet this key (C) is even lower. Cliff compensated nicely by singing most of the low notes up high and in this jazzy lounge version that worked well. Why choose C as the key? Surely not because it’s the easiest to play? Having said that, it blows my mind seeing Cliff accompanied by Jeff Goldblum (*swoon*) on piano! 😍😍

he sang it in that way as Jeff Goldblum plays piano jazzy, as was shown in the earlier bit (if you can watch the whole show)...loved Cliff doing it jazzy - yes, of course his voice has changed over the years - he did it brilliantly last night accommodating that plus Jeff's style...all the more great as unrehearsed/impromptu..
