Man thank you so much. That truly means a lot. Yeah they hit me for some of your lyrics in “Jenny and Screech (Trilogy)”. Obviously a very deep and traumatic song/ storytelling but I don’t want you being punished through us. Their new system is picking up cursing from artists and limiting our videos which in turn limits the reach you could have through out the platform. For example “ You F***ng C**t”, was flagged for all of us. I don’t even mind doing it for free because I want to see everyone succeed. But you shouldn’t be getting limited reach due to this. My guess having done shoots like this for people: Live multi-mic performance. The mic he wears is most likely for Syncing the better mics the sound and camera person have. The wire he has goes to a transmitter that records and transmits to the portable sound bank.

Ren is a Welsh busker who performs on the streets of Brighton, and when he was in The Big Push, many of their videos are recorded straight from live street performances. He is used to doing everything live in one take. If he ever does a video that has a take other than the first, he'll label it "Retake."

They are truly great performances but also reflect Rens skill at mixing back on to the video. Instruments and vocal are recorded on zoom mics before perfectly processing/balancing. It really sets them apart - super sound live street performances..the man is (and TBP) class.

You asked the question a long time ago now so i don't know if it's been answered, but it was shot and reordered live. Ren then spent a lot of time in post production mixing it and manually vocal riding! He didn't simply slap a compressor on the vocals and let the compressor do the work. Same for all of his live recordings. He manually automates the volumes and effects. It's an absolutely painstaking process!

This-the guitar playing and the narrator walking between scenes-strikes me like a spaghetti western with the stranger wandering through a bleak world full of suffering, except that here there’s zero chance of him making a difference for good inside the world he’s presenting. Cliff, just want to throw this out there for discussion.... we are all amazed, traumatized, energized, and wholly shaken by the force that is Ren... He has created a firestorm of discussion, realization, contemplation, and engagement within the reaction community, the mental health community, and hopefully many others.... I think we can call ourselves Ren's Army....because we would fight for him and lay ourselves down to protect him and what he stands for...and when you are passionate about anything, you can be a force. But as you have seen in all his material, which is so varied and creative, his energy explodes out about all the ills and trouble of our world...and we can roll them all up to call them 1 word: the establishment... and that establishment will not like the carpet being pulled up so that we all see the roaches and they scatter... How many of us have stated definitively that Ren should be acknowledged and appreciated for the talent he is, and that it will be impossible for any other musical, theatrical, artistic body of work to win any awards this year if the people that judge truly are honest with themselves... And while we shout to the heavens in frustration and empathy for Ren being discarded by "those people", Ren has, as he said it best, "learned to relax, learned to soften, and the dance has become easier".... I just realized this after watching this trilogy's reactions for the nth time on how great that reveal was at 19:30 . The reveal about Voilet having twins and how the part where Jenny and Screech are twins were a bit prolonged. It definitely lets you realize it on your own. Hey man. New to the channel. I pretty much think Ren can do it all. But it's cool to see someone who doesn't limit himself in music to one style. One thing I was wondering about this song that no one has said anything about, I think at the end of his song, he is in the same places as the beginning. I'm not sure. What a freakin ending, what a plot twist, what a crescendo, this is soooooo damn cool! This music or work of art is made for reaction channels if you think about it cause yes I have seen this before but for me its almost more exciting watching people that dont know what coming next and then to see the actual shock on your faces just the same as I did.. This was the most amazing storytelling I've ever heard in music form. I came across Ren just a few days ago for the first, watching his HI REN video. I'm so glad I did because I've never seen such an amazing talented Singer, Rapper, Guitarist, Musician, Writer, Poet, Storyteller, Actor, and an overall Artist!
