Most other loopers that reacted to the PSN wildcard actually admitted that they have no clue what he was doing half the time. It's also insane that he is doing all that with only 1 device.

@@o1g_2 is only a CTL pedal, which is not considered as a second device by the judges cause it doesn't create any sound or put any FX by itself, it is only used to trigger a command on the RC-505

extra devices are a touchy subject, for the most start theres nothing you cant do on a rc505 (the loop everyone uses) that you can with an extra device it just is way more easier. It takes hours and hours of mixing and mastering input settings and levels but it lets you get such precise and perfect sound to the point looping is sounding like a studio recorded track. Man controversy with a 2nd device is money. You can accomplish so much more with one, but theyre extremely expensive, you can also be amazing with just the loop like Psn who won the wildcard competition, lots of people wanna see separate categories for one and multiple devices

This isn't rly true, there is certain sounds that are unachievable for the rc 505 that are possible with the extra devices... Although yes, there is a lot of previously achievable sounds that are simply easier to make...

The extra devices are a bit of a controversial subject. I absolutely love the fact that the range possibilities in looping is expanding, but they are a very big advantage in the actual battles which is a little unfair since they are pricey. For me personally what's most controversial is the skill level required, they extra devices need to be mastered and that definitely takes a lot of time, but there is certain things that are very difficult or unachievable for the RC 505 (main loopstation) that are easily made with the a second device. If people do actually manage to use the second device in a way it isn't just a shortcut or convenient way to achieve an already existing sound, but actually make something that wasn't possible before I'm a big fan of it.

Some of the judges (SA_O) do not realise how much skill and work it costs to build such a good sound even with a second device

I really dislike these loopstation "battles", its not even making the sounds anymore, its just tonal input transformed into a synth. You may as well just write a song in fruityloops or something, you arent beatboxing anymore.
