I'm a 30+ year old guy. I don't know why, but for some reason I just decided on a whim to go see this movie. I was a big fan of the books when I was a kid and due to some negativity in my personal and professional life, I just wanted a movie that would leave me with some feel-good vibes when I left the theater. I don't think I need to go too far into depth when I say that this movie is obviously not going to be winning any kind of awards. It's a very basic, very straight forward movie that doesn't try to be anything other than what it is advertised as. It's a cute movie that features a very big CGI Good Boy. Corny at times, but also surprisingly heartfelt at others. Given that I left the theater feeling happier than when I went in, I don't regret seeing it at all. Seeing some negative reviews of angry nerds acting like they were going in expecting writing on the level of Shawshank Redemption will always make me lol.

Looks like the 'guilt-free' chocolate/coconut combo goes well with the 'lightness' of BRD? Loved your comments! Definitely, underlines the idea, of 'beloved children book series' theme.

Totally agree with you... bit campy, but overall, still likeable.

Watching it right now. I've seen 37 minutes so far. It makes me miss all the times I'd have to chase my dog down the block every time someone goes in or out the front door. Nowadays, at 11 years old, she mostly sleeps under my mom's bed and only comes out to go potty outside.
