Spot on Paul. We have been experiencing climate change driven inflation for 4-5 years now. Especially food items that are grown in regions that are being severely impacted by drought, floods, severe weather, and severe heat. Coffee is one example that comes to mind. Also, we are starting to experience certain items that we could always obtain in the grocery market not on the shelves. Food items are taking longer to get to the market; we bring them home and they rot or go bad after just a few days. Deliveries are not on time. USPS is lucky if it can even deliver a letter on time. Everything is broke and getting more and more chaotic and people are starting to feel it. What's the problem? Abrupt climate change is the problem.

Thank you Paul! I've been talking about this for about 8 years and especially in my extinction rebellion presentations and other presentstions. Thank you! Thank you! May I share your video with other people?

Our climate situation is dire and food cost have noticeably doubled and tripled as well as my utilities. My plan of action is to expand growing more food. I don't know what else to do to stave off high costs

I've resigned myself to just sitting back and watching the world collapse. I understand it's going to get me at some point too. There is no solution, even mitigation's a pipe dream at this point. I've reached the acceptance stage of grief, seems like you guys are still in the bargaining stage.

Insurance becomes more expensive for houses, transport, factories, farms etc... this cost gets passed down as inflation.

The only reason climate has any effect on inflation at all is because inflation is a function of the capitalist system of economics. The prices charged for goods and services are determined by those who own and control them. They create scarcity in the supply to justify raising prices and as long as consumers keep buying, the prices will continue rising. Why? Because they can. I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating. The fact is that in today’s world, some people use the word ‘predatory’ in connection with capitalism to create the illusion that there’s a form of capitalism that isn’t inherently predatory; but in fact, capitalism doesn’t even work without the opportunity for exploitation, which is the very nature of the predator: to take advantage of, exploit or prey upon the disadvantaged, the disabled, those in need of healthcare, childcare, education, food, shelter and transportation, etc, and the financially or otherwise vulnerably handicapped. This is the reason that what the United States calls competition is rightly perceived by China as confrontation; because where there is competition, there’s ALWAYS a winner and a loser; and quite often, more than one loser. Rightly or wrongly, however, it certainly is NOT, nor can it be seen as an effort at cooperation. The capitalist system depends on a growing economy (or profit expansion) to work properly, but the banking system is based on the creation of debt which gets back to the predatory nature of capitalism. It just doesn’t work for the working class. It only works for those who are already wealthy because it funnels wealth from the bottom up, keeping those at the bottom constantly in need. The economic model of capitalism is intended to create scarcity, which is why the Reagan administration came up with the idea of what they labeled as ‘supply-side’ (or trickledown) economics. It lends itself well to the enrichment of a few which tends toward the corrupting of the system through bribery and favoritism. Capitalism = unmitigated exploitation leading to extinction of resources and life itself. There IS a BETTER way.. we need to abolish capitalism, but as long as we HAVE to cope with life in a capitalist system, it ought to at least be more equitable, because allowing the poor to afford to live comfortably is beneficial to not only the poor, but since capitalism funnels wealth from the bottom up, it’s also beneficial to those at the top. The problem is that those at the top can never have enough. That’s why we have to abolish capitalism.
