Climb and Steep Descent - Upgraded CJ7

Test run with some upgrades made on the 3D printed CJ7.
Swapped out the belt driven gearbox to an Injora SCX10 model combined with a D90 metal transfer case. Made some custom metal links and adjusted the link mounts for better clearance. It has much better clearance and slow speed control, but became a bit louder and slower overall.

Great Project! I was looking at using two D90 in a row. One in the place of the transfer case and one at the motor. This would give about the right gearing. .... Or planetary 3:1 then the D90.... Keep in mind that you can also change your axle gear ratios.

Yeah, that would be also an interesting mod! First I've tried Injora's planetary metal gearbox directly connected to the D90, but it was extremely loud. The body amplified it even more, so I went for the SCX10 gearbox, but switched the pinion & spur gear to the belt version. I might gonna try some different gears in the axle, that's a good tip!
