Very helpful video with the commentary. Micro spikes and an ice axe are all you need?

And water purifier, plenty of food, sun protection and good route selection while on the glacier. That’s it!

Congrats on the summit! What time of the year did you do this? Planning on going up in the beginning of July.

I think it was the first week of September.

Maybe hopeful thinking at the time. It’s a trip how long the approach is.

Could a sedan make it to the trailhead? Good job. Rock on!
@joelballezza2 жыл бұрын
Yes. It will be a little bumpy but not too bad. The hard part is finding parking depending on the day, plus hid valuables. Lots of smashed windows.

@@joelballezza Crazy about the smashed windows. Cool. Thanks!

Glacier travel without being roped up concerns me.
@joelballezza Жыл бұрын
Yes, I hear you but in this instance we had perfect conditions and the right tools. I had no concerns but if it was windy and bulletproof ice that would be different for sure

I'll just stick to hiking, my dodgy ankles will snap crackle and pop the first few steps i take :(

Jac Sch I can’t blame you. My body was pretty worked over after getting back to the car. The climb itself isn’t that hard, but getting there and back is brutal

This is outstanding! Going to do the same as you and the crew did. What time of year was this

We did the run in early September if my memory serves me right. Excellent conditions and no problem accessing water or traveling over the glacier. Just two steps that had to be smart
