Climbing Mt. Etna | My Last Adventure Before COVID-19 | Sicily, Italy

Prior to the pandemic, I was in #Sicily, ready to take a scheduled tour to climb #MtEtna as a part of a conference. Then someone asked me if I wanted to climb Mt Etna with them and I threw all my plans out the window.
I love last-minute decisions, I love meeting new people and I'm so glad I went on this hike. It was my last adventure before the world shut down and I look at it now, proud of myself for taking the risk to go with 4 complete strangers instead of the conference that would have helped my business. Who knows when I would see Mt. Etna next.
I hope you all enjoy this video. I seriously look back on this time and just marvel at how lucky I was to change my mind. Always go with your gut! Be spontaneous! Follow the road wherever it's willing to take you!

This brings my memories back ... it's true that I didn't climb to the top of Etna, but I ate spaghetti down in Taormina with a fabulous view of the smoke-blowing Etna :)
