I climbed Kili last Summer when I was seventeen and it was the most powerful experience I have ever felt. It is the first time I have ever had to overcome such adversities and had to ignore all the voices in my head telling me to stop. Once you reach that summit, it truly does make u see the world in a different light. I will never forget all the names of the crew that got me there. Everyone should do this and experience these feelings for themselves :)

The true warriors are the African people of that region. The porters who show you the way and carry your luggage, make you lunch and dinner and sing in their oldest traditions. Africa is the mother land where it all started. Great job on climbing that summit. That experience will never leave you. I really appreciate the story and the narration of the people there.

Amazing! It actually gives me chills just watching this as it looks so incredible. A huge congratulations on your achievement :) This is such an inspirational video and the positive energy that the African people have is so uplifting. My husband and I are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in July and we're excited beyond words. My hubby did the trek four years ago and he always tells me how amazing it was. Since we got married it's been on our bucket list to do the trek together. To camp under the stars in Africa will be the adventure of a lifetime 🌍

I am sitting with a Lady who climbed Mt Kilimanjaro in 1957, she peaked alone with a guide, she is now looking at this video and her words are "Grateful that I peaked alone with a guide, as then I could experience the spirituality and peace without the noise. She received a garland of everlasting white flowers. Her husband did not peak, he got as far as Hanse Meyer Cave as he got mountain sickness, was taken down to the saddle between Kilimanjaro and Mawenzi Peak, by the porters. He received a bouquet of the same flowers. Her first reaction to the video is the lack of snow and ice on Mt Kilimanjaro and the visibility of all the rock formation. At the time that she climbed, there was no cellphone, no helicopter. Her name is Isabella.

I summited Kilimanjaro on 9-30-2015 at 7:40am. That emotion you felt at the peak, I felt it too when I put my hand on the sign at Uhura Peak as I said to myself "You didn't quit." At that moment I was met with a mixture of exhaustion, relief and pride. And it got me choked up. I had took some video on my GoPro but it ran out of battery life around the time we got to the top of the Barranco Wall. You've put together a hell of a video here, though. Congratulations on you're accomplishment!

Thanks for sharing your experience Tyson, it certainly brought back many wonderful memories of my own experience conquering Kilimanjaro, which was in June this year. I joined a group of 17 other Aussies as part of a fundraising challenge for the Leukaemia Foundation (we raised over $160k). We climbed via the Rongai route, which took us via the spectacular Mawenzi Tarn Hutt, Kibo Camp (base camp), Gilman's Point and then Stella Point where you initially reached the crater. It was one of the most amazing, rewarding, life-changing as you said, experiences and it certainly challenged all of us to our limits.
