FANTASTIC film. Thank you! Love how you narrated the moves and mixed the music down in the background. Inspiring for young people on their way up the grades and nostalgic for us old timers who remember the emotions you express like it was yesterday even though it was thee decades ago....climbing does that in a way that little else can.

Great video!! Really felt 'the journey', through editing commentary and music! Brilliant determination and resolve Sophie - and keeping the mind where it needs to be is definitely paying off!

It's tough for us trad climbers to get used to trying hard and falling off...well done! Having done my first 7c recently, this really resonated!

So good to see that you learnt to overcome your fear, and really great for me to hear how other people develop strategies to overcome it!

Congratulations! 👋Much kudos for climbing the line and not veering off R into Moat People at the top overlap. Interesting for me to see your sequence. You've definitely got steely fingers, but got short-changed on the reach quotient. I don't think someone over 5ft 6" could emulate your moves😀

@@TheClimbingNomads Yes indeed, awesome work both of you ! May I ask what the top climbing levels you have done ? And have you ever climbed "The old man of stoer" ? Thanks for the enjoyable videos, It is nice to see how you climb and the spoken tips like the well used unseen side pull..
@TheClimbingNomads3 жыл бұрын
Thanks :) not done the old man of stoer, but awesome to get over there one day and get on it! We’ve climbed 7C in bouldering (Brett) and 7B+ (Soph), both 7c sport. Trad we’ve climbed up to E2/E3

@@TheClimbingNomads What a excellent level to be climbing at, Lots of hard routes for you to try your skills at !! I have seen the "Old man of Stoer" up close when I was on a 10 day wild camp around Scotland on my 125. Did not realise it was a classic 5 pitch climbing route until later (5a,4b,4b,4c,4a). As long as the world does not fall over, I would love to get to the level of being able to do it !! I am guessing it would just be a fun climb for you two !! Thanks for the comment, and I look forward to your next vids !!

Fabulous video - but as a non climber please can you explain all the jargon - Redpoint, crimp, flake, etc - it has its own language like every hobby, but it would be great if you could do a video on all the terms and the different types of climbing. Love your videos - you seem like a fantastic couple.

Aw thank you! Yes, there’s definitely a lot of climbing jargon 😆 good idea for a video!

Brilliant stuff and huge congratulations, I don't play the grade game anymore ( too old) I just love the rock for the rocks sake. My saying is the body won't go where the mind won't take it,, it looks to me very much your mind body connection is brimming to perfection. Inspirational stuff looking forward to seeing both of your stories unfold further. All the best and with great respect R.

Aw thank you! Mind and body managed to come together for the send, hoping to find that balance more often on routes! Fantastic feeling when it happens 🧘🏻♀️
