Climbing Orphan Rock (Abandoned Route)

Closed Off due to a Landslip in 1974, this Lookout used to be the Most Popular in the Blue Mountains. Now it Slowly Decays atop Orphan Rock, Fodder for Spiels. Relics of Old Scenic World sit nearby.

Wow! Those views look fantastic! (That distant shot at the end with all the different colors (yes, we Americans don't know how to spell) of blue, looks right out of a "the Joy of Painting" with Bob Ross, show.) Do you need to get special permission to take that trail? It doesn't look exactly "well traveled".

The trail is Abandoned and mostly overgrown, requires some Bush-Bashing to get to it. Also the 1930s wooden stairs are very degraded so very few people ever go up there
