Horizon Forbidden West is an action role-playing video game developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Set to release on February 18, 2022. A sequel to 2017's Horizon Zero Dawn, it features an open world in a post-apocalyptic western United States. Players must travel and complete missions with survival skills and both melee and long-distance weapons in a world overrun by machines creatures.
Characters in Horizon Forbidden West include: Aloy, Avad, Erend, GAIA, Marad, Petra Forgewoman, Sylens, Talanah Khane Padish, Uthid, Vanasha, Varl, Alva, Hekarro, Kotallo, Regalla, Tilda and Vuadis Zo.
Horizon Forbidden West continues the story of Aloy, a young huntress of the Nora tribe sent on a quest to the arcane frontier known as the Forbidden West to find the source of a mysterious plague that kills all it infects. On her journey across these uncharted lands, Aloy encounters hostile regions ravaged by massive storms and occupied by dangerous enemies and deadly machines. the problem with doing only the main missions is that you oft miss out on the extra XP and items from side missions that help you level up faster so that story missions are not such a dangerous grind fight to slog through. you could do all the side missions off camera between vids and just give us the cliff notes version when something interesting happens.

you got to read the comments Brad. someone else mentioned this but you didnt notice that when you shoot a machine with the appropriate arrow to their canister it reacts violently and explodes with huge damage. like the machines with poison strenght, shoot their canister with poison arrow and it will be highly damaging, also look around more when you're looting. in part 6 when you're trying to open that locked door that needs a key, around it was a purple icon that you could loot that could've been the key or another item, i actually dont know, but my point is you missed it and a few other times too. just thought you should know.

Brad hit the green parts of the robots with the poison arrows, this applies to other parts withe different colors. Each color has its own ammo type. Fire for yellow, poison for green and so on.. like so brad can see

"I just wanted to do this because not many people will". Yeah, because no one wants to unlock the area around a Tallneck. They would rather play the game with the fog of war in place all the time. Also, this is also a melee game. You don't need to deplete your ammo stores before you decide to use your lance to do damage. Get close hit a few and then roll out of damage range to prepare for next attack.

The tall neck is so fun to climb but sometimes it's hard to find the right way to it. I had a lot of struggles in the first game because it was the first game I ever played on PS4 and I wasn't used to the controller. But I loved the game so much I had to get the second one as well.

Very hard and explorer navigation is where its at. I've played hard for 21 hours and just got to plainsong and now doing a main quest there. I'm not struggling but just having fun with the extremely hard monsters. It feels real and I like playing tag 😌

You should do 1 or 2 of the side quests while progressing, especially when it comes to friends from the past, like Petra in Chainscrape or story parts like the Bristlebacks brought in by Ulvan from Chainscrape. I would recommend getting side quest done because it helps you to progress even further in the game in leveling. Also, it can allow you to get some nice armor and weapons early for the struggle ahead.

Its fun to watch, but it can be frustrating to watch with the amount of looting. Also the focus scan helps alot with the machines, it helps to understand what ammo type to use and where on the machine are weakpoints.
