One Saturday morning, invited by Ambrogio Varinelli, FASI instructor at the Manga gym, and Viviana Ghizzardi, president of the Moovit association, we went to record a group of people suffering from Parkinson's who were climbing. Just as Ambrogio says, we too were in doubt about what we could do/shoot. It was a fantastic experience with very positive people who were happy to challenge themselves. For them, climbing is a moment of sharing, challenging themselves and a way to face the brakes and blocks that this disease creates in them.
A moment of warming up and then straight onto the wall. Seeing people climbing who, as they told us, normally struggle to move, get up from the chair, leave the house was miraculous.
The Ass. Moov-it is a truly beautiful and cohesive reality, a family, full of life and motivation.
Thanks also to Viviana, Ambrogio and all the volunteers, this group organizes various activities including climbing to stimulate and keep the mind alive and encourage these people to face the difficulty.
We had a very good time, we were also lucky enough to talk to Palma, Paolo and Luca who, without any problem or shyness, spoke openly about their problem and how this sport makes them feel good both physically and psychologically.
"It's difficult for me just to stand, but it doesn't matter because inside me I know that if I am capable of climbing, I can also stand" these are the words that remained in our minds like a brand and we they made it clear how important the Moov-it project is for our society both as a support and as an example to follow.
