Was that marshy area removed behind the dam? Certainly the dam created all of that over time

My take on this video is that government is the major problem. All the red tape is a waste of time & energy. Just tear the damn dam down!

Luckily your take doesn't matter and qualified people in the respective areas got the job done without further destruction.

And then when we’ve removed government we get demagogues making decisions willy nilly. Especially if they own the land around the damn. Government exists to prevent dictators and demagogues from doing whatever it is they feel like, or whomever pays the demagogue the most.

Video establishes that river is on bedrock. No sediment build up behind dam. 3:30 "When isolating work areas, we always try to use natural materials..." Video cuts to a pile of super-sacks and exposed sand fill. Water is pouring through the gaps between the super-sacks. Why not use an AquaDam? No sand/dirt fill material, just use water to control water? That work area did not achieve isolation, from what is shown in the video.

we should keep tearing down power plants and keep putting more stuff on the grid.

Rather lousy documentary.. How about mentioning the cost/benefits as well as the thousands (?) of households, (including whining environmentalists..) lived comfortably with the power provided during 100 years..?
