Excellent demonstration of cup placement, cup tenson/suction and movement. You give thorough explanations that are understandable and not too lengthy. I also like that you have the patient participate in the therapy and move the affected area during cupping. Thank you for getting straight to the point on your videos. Perfect length! And yes, I'd also like to see how you would cup the sciatica. Thank you for the videos!

Thank you for your feedback Christi and great to hear that you enjoyed the demonstration. I’ll add a sciatica video to the list 👍. If the client has sciatica symptoms, it needs to be established where the sciatic nerve is being compressed. For example the lower back or by the piriformis muscle. If being compressed by the piriformis, then cups will be placed around the glute area and over the piriformis line. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the video i love it and understood everything but just wanna know what are the movement used for when the cups are on the body What will be my goal to focus on i mean (better range of motion or pain reduced) or what what happens when i move the muscle with the cup?
@CoreElementsTraining Жыл бұрын
Yes when moving the cups you are aiming to reduce muscular and facial related tension. This will help to increase range of motion and reduce muscular related pain. When moving the cup you are helping to release tension in the muscle and fascia a bit more quickly than with the static technique.

Thank you informative video. Can you tell where on arm and shoulder you would cup a client that was a baseball pitcher who was looking for prehap, recovery and maintenance ?
@CoreElementsTraining Жыл бұрын
Glad the video helped. We add the cups based on what we find from palpation of the client. We’re looking for areas of tension and trigger points that maybe restricting their movement. Everyone will hold tension slightly differently, so be guided by the palpation and client feedback 👍

What should be the time period of cupping therapy TREATMENT?
@CoreElementsTraining Жыл бұрын
Usually between 30 to 60 minutes. In longer treatments you will cover more areas of the body 👍

Hello Dawn. Will this go anyway to helping a shoulder impingement at all? Top videos btw, loving your work.
@CoreElementsTraining Жыл бұрын
Hi Philip, Glad the videos are helpful 🙂. When it comes to shoulder impingement, it really depends on the cause. If muscular related tension is suspected, and treatment aim is to reduce tension around the shoulder region to see if movement increases, then yes Cupping could definitely help 👍.

Hello Dawn, I'm 9 months post rotator cuff surgery. My frontal deltoid started to hurt recently. I have full range of motion. Can I use cupping treatment around deltoid?
@CoreElementsTraining2 ай бұрын
if it’s to help reduce muscular related tension then yes 👍🏼. Unless you’re a therapist, I’d advise going to a therapist who is qualified in the use of dry cupping though for this treatment 👍🏼.

Hello can we do oil massaging just before dry cupping
@CoreElementsTraining2 жыл бұрын
Hi Shaikh, Yes absolutely, massage before and after cupping is a great addition to the treatment provided. Thanks, Dawn

Hi team, are you using just 1 pump on the parked cups?
@CoreElementsTraining9 ай бұрын
Hi In this instance yes I am, but you need to adjust the suction to the clients preference. Some people who are very sensitive may only like 1/2 pump for the first treatment.

You’re guided by the feedback from the client and the colour of the marks 👍.

Is this a better option when friction massage hasn't helped
@CoreElementsTraining8 ай бұрын
Yes if friction techniques haven’t helped to reduce MSK tension then yes Dry Cupping can help 👍🏼. It stretches the tissue in an upwards direction and is synergistic when used with manual massage. We offer an online course for qualified therapists.

Hi Just a question, after my therapist did the cupping in my arms , I need to do slowly lifting. It's been 2 months now and I'm still very sore. What should I do
@CoreElementsTraining10 ай бұрын
You’re still sore from a treatment two months later? Discomfort from treatment only usually lasts 24-48hrs max and is mild discomfort like post exercise soreness. If your arm has been sore for 2 months I would suggest seeing a therapist to investigate the problem, such as a physical therapist / physiotherapist etc. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Why is my left arm cupping marks darker than my right arm?I put them on for just a minute but my left arm marks are really dark and right is just red
@CoreElementsTraining Жыл бұрын
Without seeing you / your marks…. They are likely darker as you probably had more tension in that arm.
