I’ve never gone past 5-7 grams but I find the absolute best thing to do is fast before the experience, do lots and lots of breath work and bioenergetics beforehand and then during the experience I always feel a strong need to stretch and move my body in creative ways I feel like it releases trapped emotions and relieves tension i maybe wasn’t aware of before the shrooms set in. Definitely helps me avoid falling into negative emotional spirals while tripping

Good structured presantation about a very important subject. IMHO Their approach is very much in line with Grof's approach for psychlytical LSD Therapy. Very good. The only thing I consider missing in their description is a swim or a long shower after the client is coming down or "boomeranging" back in to reality. The reconnection with water has always been a very grounding one, and seems too important therapeutically to be left out. Maybe a consideration for further sessions if it's not used already?

When you come back, you raise up from the bed and put your feet on the ground and start to stand. That's how you ground yourself after a big trip. I support your shower technique but really standing up does the trick. 4 me I always ingesting the 5g + shrooms wait 1 hour to then go to the shower to come up actually, after naked to the bed with the lights of. Happy trip

Ive heard that its 4g's dried psilocybe cubensis which is equivalent to 20-25mg of pure psilocybin, is the standard dose to bring about a "mystical experience " which has been the aspect of the experience that has been associated with healing.

One of my biggest fears is having an experience like the one portrayed by the gentlemen starting at around the seven minute mark. I realize that part of the experience is integration but how the hell do you integrate something like this? To me it just seems to be chaotic, random noise. What do you learn here? I can see with some sessions there is some content of a symbolic nature which might point to some unresolved issues that need to be dealt with but it didn't seem to be the case with this session. To me psychedelics are a dual edged sword. I think we have a long way to go before we truly understand how to "tame the beast." I would love to have a dialogue with people regarding this issue in general and the trip discussed in this video in particular.

I have several old friends, that will tell you how crutial, having me around was for them. One will even tell you that I saved his life. Even 20 yrs ago when I was an inexperienced explorer, I would get someone to lay on the grass and let go, reminding them that there was nothing to fear. I relate to Terrance McKenna's pal he referenced...... "just let me stand a little while longer this time" Face the Angel and the Demon inside, for they are not separate from ourselve. We are our own Heaven and Hell. Whichever way u wanna is a daily diligence and a choice. The devil is not a bad guy outside of ourselves that we can blame all of the bad in the world on. Just like God is not in some far away sky waiting waiting to bless us for being good boys and girls. Total Complete Heaven and Total Complete Hell can be acheived all alone with not a single other person or entity around to praise or to put the blame on. Once u figure this out, You Make The Creator Smile, for he sees through your eyes and we experience the lessons and that my friends is the whole point. 🎵👫🙏🕯️👫🕯️🙏👫🎵 TO BE

I'm suffering from crippling, treatment-resistant depression and this is hopeful, but I feel like I have virtually no chance of a professional trip guide since this is in the experimental phase and this deeply ill government has criminalized both the sufferer and the solution. Since depression and addiction (sober addict also) tend to isolate you and/or connect you to other sick people, the chance of finding someone trustworthy in my own community are also next to nil :(

The clinical approach seems a bit excessive; I've been going out to the woods to trip alone since i was a teenager, as per the ancient rite. I wonder if you have to have the guides there in the room or the music (ugh) another persons consciousness and artificial sound is such a distraction even if just a subtle knowing in the recesses of the experience, that it can be a real barrier to a break-through. If they haven't taken the trip themselves I would argue they're not qualified. Outdoors you dont have to fumble around in a bathroom or fool around with a change in lighting and toilet stuff which can be a big obstacle and break up the experience. If you're rolling around on the forest floor you just get up, hold on to a tree and go. What do they think high dose means?

Cory, what society are you from? You mentioned this is your ancient rite, I would be very interested to know?

I cannot help but wonder if your results are slightly tainted by only using people who fit the perfect criteria. Had you done the same with MDMA, I cant help but feel you would never of helped a single PTSD sufferer. No, I am not slating MAPS and their work. I am just pointing out that not everyone in the world fits their regime for volunteers. Sure, I can understand their fears of "if things went wrong" with a volunteer, but sooner or later, they will need to do studies to see whether people who have suffered psychotic episodes or attempted suicide and self harm etc react in a negative or positive or indifferent manner to psychedelics. Who knows, MAPS may even be teetering on the very edge of a potential medicine for these people who currently are immediately ousted from the cut of volunteers...
@Hovno416 жыл бұрын
These studies are done for more then 50 years dude. Ebsco for instance can satisfie your need. And in those papers they are stating specificity of patient is needed. Not every therapy fits to everyone, as you stating if i am not mistaken.

Keep in mind that this field is very precarious right now and if they have an incident it could negatively impact the entire field of study and stop 1000's of people from getting future treatment and help. There is a place and setting for people with higher risk and this unfortunately is not it.
