I finished watching this vlog 5 minutes ago and I am overwhelmed with the beauty of Carmel and I am in awe of Eastwood and to see the city he became mayor of so he could preserve it. Leaves me with emotion overload.

This is so cool! When I was a teenager I went to school in Pebble Beach at RLS (now Stevenson) and our Librarian there was Mrs. Jeffers. She was Robinson's grandaughter I believe. Anyways, her son Robin was one of my classmates as well. She used to give me rides home in her little MG and I spent many a day hanging out in Hawk Tower at Tor House with Robin. Next stop, Mission Ranch! I also went to school with the daughter of the folks that owned Mission Ranch before Clint bought it. "The Farmhouse" was their home. We also spent a lot of time there not to mention a crazy party or two. Thank you and Jah so much for cruising Carmel! It's totally bringing back memories for me.

I heard that Clint used to go to the farm with his dad so he stopped in and found it in terrible condition because the owners were too old and couldn't keep it up anymore. He bought it because they were going to sell it to a developer and Clint wanted it preserved just as it was when he was a boy, that's why he bought it, as you reported. Did you know that he also took the pickup truck from BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY off the lot and brought it to the farm and, as far as I know, it;s still there and in use? Thanks for the tour and I'm looking forward to what suprises you have for us tomorrow. Have fun and give Jah a pat on the head for me.

Let us hope that when Clint Eastwood passes, this gorgeous dairy farm will be maintained. Not sold off and turned into a housing development or whatever! The mission is beautiful, I visited it early in my marriage along with all the other missions. One college history class was about the settlement and establishment of the mission system and I made it a goal to see them all. Mission accomplished! 😄

I love Carmel, absolutely breathtaking! They had a pretty bad wildfire there about a month ago (2022), I hope all these beautiful places were not touched. I had an elderly Uncle that lived there, moved in in the late 30's. He talked about some famous people he live by, I loved listening to him tell his stories! Such a beautiful vlog, Jordan, I know you did go back, I would love to too!!! 🌼

Good people all along the way pointing out the next experience. Frank Lloyd Wright designed the courthouse in Buffalo, NY of course they wanted to tear it down. Thanks to the historical society it still stands. A guy jumped off the roof and was impaled on a flagpole, because it was Halloween people thought it was a dummy and left him until Monday. Next year "flagpole chest" was a top costume. Thanks Clint what a nice save. Jordan you practically have a press pass, what a success story. "Go ahead, make my day". You just did. Jah!

Great video once again, Jordan. I am originally from the Bay Area so Carmel was a frequent destination. Clint Eastwood's house was on the 17 Mile Drive and we used to drive by to see his kids' teepee through the fence slats. San Juan Batista was also a favorite. Lots of family memories dating back to my aunt and uncle getting married at Mission Carmel in the 50s. ❣

Cool FLW house! The angles fit right in with the contrast of the cypress trees. We see a bunch of them in Arizona, including at ASU. The style is definitely his unique signature. Tania kanuha Clint Eastwood has had an interesting life. Story goes that he was on leave and overstayed visiting loved ones and managed to get a ride on a fighter jet, but he had to sit in the back where the radar equipment is. The ride was not smooth, the door flew off and he was trying not to fall out of the plane, but, was having serious trouble staying conscious, suddenly the plane started going down, he thought he was done, luckily they crashed in the ocean. It was too dark to see anything and he thought there was no hope of being found and then he felt himself on solid beach and that is very near to where he decided he would like to live, which is Carmel. Is it true? Who knows, pretty cool story though.

Great vlog Jordan!!!! Cool house, right? Carmel looks like a pretty relaxing place to visit. Definitely worth vlogging further in the future. Very cool that Clint Eastwood saved that property. Now people from all over can enjoy it for years to come. How about that burrito...... Reminds me of a place I would frequent called "The Green Burrito" located in Hawaiian Gardens. Kind of an ominous name really for a location within Long Beach, but they had huge burritos. Anyhow, I digressed..... What about that "No filming policy"..... Do you run into that very often? That happened to me one time while taking pictures of my son at his first job. The location was McDonalds, and he was in the back cooking hamburgers. I just wanted to take a couple quick pics, and was quickly admonished. At the time, I was a little embarrassed, and then kind of irritated that it was such a big deal, but then realized, while it seemed benign, it was really about their proprietary image, among other things, so I get it. I still got the shots though. 🙂 I enjoyed this vlog today, or from the day before yesterday rather. I still think it's so interesting how you just organically find things to vlog on the fly that manage to meld quite nicely with the days scheduled theme and filming. As usual Jordan, you do not disappoint, EVER..... 🙂 Well my friend, on to the next vlog. Thanks again, take care Jordan, and I'll catch you on the flipside. Arthur Childs. Oak Harbor, WA.
