my new motto - words to live by: "...always carry 2 or 3 canteens full of gasoline, because you never know when you'll run into a house you need to burn down." - I've never heard any life hack stated so succinctly.

Sự hèn nhát ,man rợ của những kẻ có IQ dưới 50 thật kinh tởm The cowardice and barbarism of people with IQs below 50 was disgusting.

He wrote a book not long ago. The most "unlucky" or shot up platoon in that era. A lot of the book deals with the effects short and long term

Fascinating. You won't hear this in history books. Targeting doctors and dentists, the ultimate way to break the enemies morale.

@@garymartin1040 The SEALs I KNEW during the Vietnam War were nothing short of a stateside gang who were "tough" when they out-numbered you or had more firepower. When they faced the NVA or VC MEN who just had their families murdered by SEALs, they got whipped. The SEALs I saw in Vietnam handed out valor awards to each other, were very poorly led and I personally wanted nothing to do with them. They confirmed it all again during "The Lone Survivor" In Afghanistan.... undisciplined, poorly led and they make very poor combat decisions. (Note: They should have canceled the mission and took the shepherds WITH them during extract. As for the lt commander putting 30+ SEALs and sec ops people on ONE Chinook and then flying BELOW the ridge line---the results 30+ high trained men DEAD! On and on...the SEAL Section being returned back tot he States because they were out of control is another case of poor leadership and then there is the murdering of a Special Forces soldier by three SEALs because he uncovered their drug operation. None of that says much for the SEALs....MAYBE they would do better of their officers were LEADERS and not buddies. For now they need to stay in the water far from land. Don't bring up the Bin Laden affair--that execution squad could have been carried out by the Mafia.

@@truestoriesfromthevietnamwar Yes sir if I'm not mistaken there was only a few hundred guys in the beginning of the war that were in the Navy over there at that time however my father was also on the Lawrence shortly after from 67 to 68 if there are enough guys around that have talked his name might pop up thank you sir for your time and replying back to me this might sound far-fetched but he mentioned something about Glenn Ford possibly being a marine or a navel helicopter pilot yes Glen Ford the actor my father was telling stories to hide his real stories I don't maybe someone knows more than I do .

Amazing man. Though that line from previous interviews and repeated here that they targeted doctors is not very glorious. It’s against the Geneva convention, for a reason. Understanding in Vietnam as in previous wars, it wad hard if not impossible to respect vicious enemies who did not respect aything. It’s also eery to listen to all the efforts they spent to preparing their operations when you think most of this was passed to the enemy by one of their viet colleague.
