Heres a RR story--one time Tony Orlando was guest hosting for Johnny Carson, and RR was a guest. Orlando says Roy, be honest now--in real life are you really anything like your characters in the movies? After a pause Roy said I think I am pretty close to my movie characters in real life. Orlando ran around the desk and hugged RR--he looked like he was a little choked up!

As a child I planned to run away from home and live with Roy and Dale on their ranch and become a cowgirl. My Grandma gave me a book, written by Dale, to read where I found out they adopted children.

I always loved Roy Rogers. My mother told when I was about a year old, Roy was appearing at the California State Fair. My mother and her best friend decided they wanted to see Roy so they took me, too. Roy spotted my mom holding me in the crowd and asked if he could hold me. Mom said he walked around talking to people, all the time carrying me. He sat with me on Trigger and was really tickled how excited I was sqealing and laughing.

Good heavens, Roy was about 85 here and you'd never know it! Lots of fun and they're both great. I'll give Roy great credit in that the film clips used featured other cowboy stars, like Gene Autry, rather than Roy himself. The man was always a class act.

Love Roy Roger back in the 40's & I still love him. Clint Black you are great too. Loved Lisa Hartman Black movie where she was a doctor. Rue McClanahan was her mother. Dale Midkiff as her boyfriend/husband. Clint you were singing in the background...loved it. Clint you could pass as a Roy Rogers relative. Toby Keith RIP

I loved Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. Watched their show every Saturday. I'm not crazy about country music but I really liked this. I can't believe how good Roy's voice is at his age. And, for two people who aren't related in any way to look so much alike is amazing.

They could be father and son or son and grandfather, they both have those "ROY ROGER"" eyes...just so very handsome and kind. Loved Roy all my life. At 70 I still miss him. He was my first cowboy "crush" and the same with Clint. Just unreplaceable. Love them both. From Debbie and Dexter-Dog her rescued chihuahua in S. California.🙋❤🐾😁👍

RR story--Roy was a guest on a variety show and Randy Travis was too, Randy had some big hits, Roy had been retired for years. Randy did a popular song in his style, then Roy did a verse in his style and then they did the third verse together. Everybody in the place was knocked out by the beauty and clarity of Roy;s voice!

In 1980s single Mom with 3 kids. +Dog. Road trip. Apple Valley CA. Mom tired driving. Pulled into the Roy Rogers musium. Small amount cash. Yet we went in. It was wonderful!!! We were 13,12,7yrs. Yet we were born Michigan county, transported. A Very Special Lady greeted us. And gave us a tour. Dale Evens with Dusty. Seeing her, being with her. She was wonderful and very normal Grandma Love.I will always remember that experience and memory. I tell it to my kids., Wish I had a cell phone back then!

I remember seeing him in Alpha Beta or Vons shopping every now and then.. He was a good man.. He would always take time to sign an autograph for anyone.. "RIP" Roy, and Dale..

joremunderfoemangler I am only 24 and I've heard of Roy rogers randomly through my life but never actually heard his voice. Sorry but you can't sit there and say both are great singers when there is only one great and one singer in this video. Roy rogers is not great and he sucks too bad to be a singer. Clint is the great one and he is the singer in this one. So only one great singer is shown in this video

It's probably a real video. I met Clint Black at Roy Rogers office in his museum in Victorville in the early 90's. I was a Sheriff's Deputy and was following up with Roy on a theft from the museum. Black told me that RR was one of his real life heroes, and he just stopped by for a visit because he was in So Cal on business...

Nominated for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals in 1992 at the 34th Grammy Awards, but it lost to "Restless" by Mark O'Connor featuring Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs & Steve Wariner (from the album "The New Nashville Cats"). The other losers were "Brotherly Love" by Earl Thomas Conley with Keith Whitley (from the album "Yours Truly"), "Hopelessly Yours" by Lee Greenwood with Suzy Bogguss (from the album "A Perfect 10"), and "Rockin' Years" by Dolly Parton with Ricky Van Shelton (from the album "Eagle When She Flies")
