13:58 Peter Molyneux: "The larger it gets, the more problems you get." Strangely prophetic when you consider his rise and crash over the years.

Even more unintentionally analogously prophetic when adapting the same quote to the games industry

Some of those old games would be quite to find now on sites like ebay, and even if you did find one the sellers would be wanting an arm and a leg for it. I don't remember there being a Jungle Book game.

Do you know how long this series ran for and how many episodes or series where made?. There's no mention of this series on imdb, and even when you do a web search nothing comes up.

@@Embracing01 I managed to find a Wikipedia page for it, where apparently it lasted from 1993 to 2005. I'm actually surprised it lasted that long, I don't recall seeing it too often post-2000 - but with good reason, because it only aired in Northern Ireland in its last years.

@@MovieMadMatt Oh right cheers for that, I'm sure I did a wiki search for it but couldn't find anything. I think I did hear that it went into the 2000s but that it stopped being shown in certain regions of the UK, probably one of them was where I am in the Granada region as I am sure that it was never shown where I am up until the late 90s and 2000s, can't recall it being shown in that region beyond 1995. Do you remember there being a magazine of the show? I'm sure I haven't imagined it as I remember being a copy of it in about 1994, but I can't find any mention of it online and no sign of any old copies on ebay.

@@MovieMadMatt I watched this down South during the 90's on UTV, if it was UTV back then. It was shown on Saturdays i actually looked forward to this show each week.

Does anyone have any information about this series other than it was shown on ITV around lunchtime on a Saturday afternoon (well as far as being in the Granada region it was, though I've heard it was shown in other regions on a weekday). Info like how long the series ran for and how many series/episodes were made as it appears from searching the internet that there's barely anything about this series for some strange reason, sites like imdb don't even list Movies, Games and Videos, and under the presenter's credits there's no mention of the series. IMDB seems to be like that with certain shows, even more well known ones that people remember many of the episodes are incomplete. I even remember there being a magazine of the show which I recall buying in about 1994-ish, the issue I had featured reviews of The Good Son with Macauley Culkin, I think Free Willy, and a few other films which my mind escapes me (wish I had kept the magazine could've been worth something), but even this magazine I can find no mention of it online, no old copies on ebay or anything, which is strange, it's like I imagined it but other people said they do remember a magazine of the same name. I suspect if there was a magazine of the series it was likely a very short-lived one which explains why I can't find any old copies. Either that or it's one of those Mandella Effect moments lol. I have one or two clips from this series, a very brief one from 1994 where it reviews the release in cinemas of Robocop 3, and also there's a behind the scenes of The Client with a video release of East 17 The Video Tour.

I remember it actually being called "Movies, Movies, Movies" when it first aired even though it still talked about games too.
@Embracing013 жыл бұрын
@@paleo2359 It was called Movies, Movies, Movies at first but soon changed to Movies, Games and Videos. I only recall it being shown in my region (Granada) up until about 95, but apparently some regions stopped broadcasting it. I found a listing of the show from 2000 from the Carlton region, but Granada certainly wasn't showing it by then I'm pretty sure, and by then Steve Priestley no longer voiced the programme. I remember buying an issue of the short lived magazine of the show, bloody wished I'd kept it as it could've been worth a few bob or two now, and I haven't been able to find one single copy of this magazine anywhere online on ebay etc, so it must be a very rare magazine.
