this was done in the original variant 1960's Peter Pan starring Mary Martin. its great it hasnt changed, excpt with a proper budget ;) and very noicely designed costumes

SWEET GOD yes. Even Paul Schoeffler puts arrogance, flamboyance, humor and just that charm that makes you love him as Captain Hook into his role. He's CLEARLY enjoying the thought of taking down Peter. Walken.....he was just asleep. He had NONE of the arrogance, deviousness or charm in his performance. He sleepwalked through the dance numbers and I think it was a fatal mistake NOT double casting him as both Mr. Darling and Hook. That has always been the tradition in Peter Pan movies.....we make that connection between the two characters and I think Walken's performance suffered because that element wasn't there.
