You're going to need a little more than just the Bible to get a full course of gnostic understanding. We've got codexes, the Avesta, the Quran, the Torah, the Nevi'im, the Ketuvim, and about 2500+ years of history to get through in addition to the Christian text. Might be easiest to just play the other Xeno games and recognize that the storywriters repeat the exact same plot points over each game, modified and mixed to match the current setting.

It can be difficult to follow the lore dump even if you've played all of the previous material. But even just taking most of it at face value without full appreciation of the previous events, I think he got the majority of it.

Maybe it shows how Kingdom Hearts can definitely learn from Xenoblade. One doesn’t require to play every game in-order but does still build a greater arc. Like if this was like Kingdom Hearts, Black Fog would be unexplained enough to require the Future Connected playthrough, but they explained it as instability in XC3 lore to catch up.

The fact that he was able to remember the three names, the trinity processor, and the motives behind Alpha plus the separation with A was just astounding! Adam Howden is probably the closest one in this cutscene to understanding what he was even reading. Though IIRC in Xenoblade 3, Shania’s VA Louise Stewart was in fact a fan of Xenoblade prior to being cast, she probably understood the lore way better than anyone in any scenes she appeared in.

5:28 technically, we never get to meet Ontos Logos or Pneuma. We only meet their Blade forms, which are what happens when the Cores are influenced by a Driver. One reason behind Malos’ self-hatred is his realization that his misanthropy comes mostly from Amalthus. The Trinity Processor Cores were given personalities, but those identities are distinct from Malos, Mythra, Alvis, etc. Maybe Alpha is closest to having the same personality as Ontos or they’re the same person? It’s extra confusing because Pneuma’s Blade form’s “true form” is also called Pneuma despite being a temporary fusion of Mythra and Pyra.

Yeah, just as Alvis was shaped by Klaus, Malos' form came in part from Amalthus and Mythra from Addam, with emphasis on the point of Logos/Malos only seeking to destroy everything because he was tainted by that influence. A and Pyra are sort of the odd ones out since they're second forms born of the first for different reasons, with A drawing on Ontos/Alvis' memories of traveling with Shulk, and Pyra from Pneuma/Mythra's experiences alongside the TGC party.

Pyra and Mythra's ascended form wasn't called Pneuma until the Alrest Records book in 2019, 2 years after the game came out. Before then, she was only called "Ascended Pyra".

I've also seen some argue that Ontos as a whole is nonbinary, but that Alpha represents the masculine traits and A the feminine traits, and so they are he/she, respectively. I can see either case honestly, but prefer to use they, just because it's more general.

In my eyes, A and Alpha clearly have the whole Anima/Animus thing going on that has been a theme throughout the Xeno series as a whole, and Rex's comment of "the one in the middle" between the male Logos and female Pneuma leads me to believe that Ontos has both masculine and feminine traits. I'm going to continue referring to A as female because she looks like a woman, is voiced by a woman, is not explicitly a feminine looking dude, is the other half of Alpha who is referred to as male, has a gender index of 1 in the game's code (which is female), and she's a fictional character and can't correct me if I'm wrong. That's just my two cents.

Both Alvis and A are essentially the same person, with Alpha being what remains of Alvis' "physical" form without Klaus's regrets or Alvis' memories which makes them completely Ontos, and A being Klaus and Alvis combined essentially, while also encompassing Ontos' "feminine" trait (I headcanon all of the ontos creation as non binary, but they use different pronouns since they're split apart). I do wonder what happened to Alvis and A after Alpha was destroyed. I'm guessing A continued to live as Alvis essentially but A was born in Origin, so will they be reborn in the fused world? I hope so

A is the personality of ontos that allowed Shulk to overcome Zanza. Alpha is just a shell of alvis that can only make decisions based on the overall opinions of everyone in origin. The reason alpha appeared during FR is because the city’s numbers grew to the point that they created a dissonance between the feedback from the kevesi and agnian soldiers and new unburdened life of the city. Alpha can basically be considered the yin to Z’s yang with alpha appearing when the desire to move towards the future is strongest and Z focusing on those who wish to stay in the now. A could in a way be considered alvis’ moebius since there existence is solely based on memories.
