What a blessing to be able to play on such a beautiful organ! And in Italy!

What an amazing opportunity! It sounds like one of those old circus wagon organs that you'd hear at a carnival. Grazie Claudio, Vincenzo, e Santa Monica! 🥰

A heavy and noisy action that takes much practice to master. You did very well, Sarah.

Thank you Sarah. Yes, thats a different way of playing on those mechanical organs! Here in the Netherlands most of the bigger organs have mechanical tracture. Come and see the ones in Amsterdam, the Hague and Kampen!

Fabulous Sarah , some beautiful churches in Rome . Great opportunities for you to play different organs.👍

Unfortunately, the opportunities for Sarah to play this trip ended up being extremely limited. The more famous the church, understandably, the less willing they were to allow anyone near their organ. As with most things, it seems much a matter of being in the right place at the right time, and the mood of the person being asked.

@@marianmandy9514 A pity , they should be honoured to have such a dedicated and young organist to play for them.

Amazing Sarah! It seems you can play any organ well no matter where. It sounds really good.

She did very well considering she was only given exactly "5 minutes" to play from the time the sacristan unlocked the organ. Half of that time was spent with her getting her shoes on, grabbing her music, and figuring out how to turn the organ on. There was nobody there who could explain the nuances of the organ. It was all very impromptu!

You were lucky to play on this organ in a beautiful building that dates back so many Centuries. Hope you find another organ as there are plenty especially old ones. What about the original organ Bach played on? To my knowledge it is still playable.

That would be cool to play on Bach's organ! Maybe someday!

te la sei cavata benissimo anche su un Organo a trasmissione meccanica. Benvenuta in Italia. 🌹
